Updates to Nike Lunar Apparent
- The rubber on the outsole provides the needed flexibility and durability. These qualities are reinforced with the help of molded indentations that help the runner in making smooth transitions through the gait cycle.
- In the midsole, the Phylon layer and the LunarIon heel provide the soft cushioning to the user. The technologies also provide the much-talked-about ‘springiness’ in the midsole, thereby ensuring a high energy return for the runner.
- The pods located in the forefoot region enhance the flexibility of the platform. They also encourage springiness, thus enabling a more responsive toe-off.
- The Mesh upper with perforations provides increased breathability and keeps the environment inside the shoe properly ventilated and comfortable to run with.
Nike Lunar Apparent size and fit
The shoe comes in the regular running shoe length for both genders and the standard medium width of D and B for men and women, respectively. It is most suitable for users with a neutral running style and not-so-wide feet.
The rubber on the outsole is placed at strategic locations for better traction and higher durability. It is also very flexible which enables the shoe to bend easily when the runner changes from one running position to another.
The flexibility of the Nike Lunar Apparent is further enhanced with the help of the molded indentations. These enable the shoe to adapt itself to the changing running positions without compromising on the material’s quality.
The mid-sole utilizes the lightly cushioned foam as a sock liner. The purpose of the foam is to deliver maximum comfort at a fairly good energy return.
The Phylon layer is a full-length foam unit that carries the foot responsively throughout the running session. It has a responsive nature, so it aims to make each step energized.
The LunarIon heel unit is responsible for the much sought after ‘bouncy’ feel in the midsole. The material is very comfortable yet responsive at the same time.
The Nike Lunar Apparent has pods situated in the forefoot region for smooth and easy transitioning between toe-off and landing. The feature offers remarkable flexibility and allows the user to follow his natural gait while running.
The Mesh and the synthetic materials on the upper maintain an environment of optimal breathability and comfort inside the shoe.
Ventilation is heightened with the help of the breathable fabric lining provided across the Nike Lunar Apparent’s upper. It also provides an excellent in-shoe feel.
The Lace-up closure provides the feel of customized fit to the users and keeps the shoe fit comfortably snug throughout the ride.
The padded tongue and collar add to the shoe’s comfortability and hold the runner’s foot in its proper position inside the shoe while running.
