This shoe is built for those who do not care about whose signature shoes. It is for all positions especially for outdoor and low-top hoopers. It gives a bit of everything: lightweight, Zoom in the forefoot and heel, ok impact protection. Good traction, good balance, good fit, and bang for your buck pricing. The downsides are the heel is too clunky and too firm, and the pain in the midfoot area.
I’ll say this over and over again, this shoe needs to be STATESIDE!!! The Nike Zoom LeBron Ambassador line has been very consistent over the years and we’d love to have another option, aside from the annual Zoom Soldier, here in the States. This is something that is wide-footer friendly, outdoor ready and under budget. If you’re in the market for a wide-foot friendly basketball shoe that won’t break the bank while still offering you every bit of tech you can ask for, give the Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 a shot.
Apparently, there is no need introducing more. Ambassador 11 performs quite well overall. Not only is Ambassador 11 budget-friendly, but also a reliable combat companion. For me, the cushion of Ambassador 11 is decent very good; the wrapping is definitely the best; the fit is absolutely the most suitable. If you do not mind the absent breathability which I believe would not be a deal breaker and you are considering grabbing a pair, you might as well try this one. After all, not being able to have a try may be most likely to become a regret.
On top of LeBron James’s first signature collection, he also has the Soldier, Witness, and Ambassador lines. According to some sources, the Witness series is the affordable line, while the Ambassador is for his Asian fans.
The Nike LeBron Ambassador 11, at first glance, looks like a cross between the Adidas N3xt L3v3l and the Nike Adapt BB. The cushioning is basically composed of forefoot and heel Zoom units enclosed in a Phylon midsole. The extra durable rubber (XDR) outsole guarantees durability. As for lockdown, the midfoot comes with the traditional lacing system for an adjustable fit. The shroud gives the midfoot better lockdown and secures the shoe laces from loosening. The upper is built with mesh.
Cushion. The Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 features forefoot and heel Zoom units encased in a Phylon midsole. The setup delivers a bouncy feeling and provides impact protection without compromising court feel.
Traction. The outsole of the Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 is made of XDR or Extra Durable Rubber because the shoe is designed for the Asian market. Asians are known to play in tough outdoor and concrete courts.
The traction pattern comes with multidirectional lines with deep and thick grooves. The depth and thickness of the grooves provide good court grip and prevent dust from sticking to the rubber. The wide outrigger on the lateral side of the forefoot provide stability.
Length and Width. The Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 is reported to be wide-footer friendly. Those with narrow feet are advised to go down half a size for a snug fit.
Lockdown. To keep the foot in place, the Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 comes with a standard lace-up system. This allows wearers to adjust the fit of the shoe. The shroud comes with a Velcro tape for better lockdown.
The upper of the Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 is made of lightweight mesh. Fuse and vinyl overlays are placed on high-wear areas for durability.
The water-resistant shroud sits on top of the traditional lace-up system. The medial side of the shroud is made of spandex. It stretches to give wearers ease in putting on and removing the shoe.
The raised external heel counter is made of foam. It prevents the heel from side to side movements.
The low-top silhouette of the Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 has the King’s logos found on the tongue, lateral side, and heel. The debossed “330” callout at the lateral heel is the area code for James’s hometown Akron, Ohio. The tongue has his jersey number 23.
Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 Galaxy
The Galaxy colorway comes with a shroud with graphics that look like an assembly of stars. Purple accents are found on the tongue's pull tab, Swoosh, heel and insole.
Nike LeBron Ambassador 11 Olympic
Dressed in Olympic-inspired colors, this colorway is predominantly white with red Swoosh logos on the lateral sides. The ankle and tongue come in deep royal blue. To complete the look, the gold heel comes with black speckles.
