Nike Juvenate Premium History

The Juvenate’s unlikely history started with the Nike Roshe. The latter was first released in 2012. It was introduced as an affordable and minimalist running shoe. It has an unmolded  EVA sole thus Nike was able to distribute it at an affordable price point. The Nike designer Dylan Raasch revealed that he took inspiration from the simplicity and balance of a Zen Buddhist garden.

The Roshe’s simplicity made it shine even brighter in the market. Nike did not use any strategy in promoting the Roshe – no video clips, celebrity endorsers nor press releases. They bypassed the hype cycle and exercised the minimal marketing.

Today, Roshe generated cult-like followings from bloggers and the public. From then on, Nike started to create silhouettes that integrate some of Roshe’s elements. The Nike Juvenate is described as the unofficial follow-up of the iconic Roshe. It has a slimmer profile with a lightweight sole and breathable upper.

Soon after releasing the Juvenate, Nike introduced the premium edition. The Juvenate Premium has a synthetic leather upper with the same lightness and profile of its prior edition. The Juvenate Premium remains true to its purpose which is to give its followers simple yet stylish and comfy pair of shoes.
