I had to let them stretch out for a little while as I got really bad blisters when I first took them out running.
Updates to Nike Flex Experience 5
- TheNike Flex Experience 5 is a road running shoe from Nike that highlights a simplistic yet consistent design. It appeals to contemporary shoe enthusiasts who are interested in a footwear that’s form-fitting and responsive. High quality materials were used in the making of this model and they work together in order to make the general running experience as comfortable as possible.
- The upper unit of this version doesn’t have any stitched-on layers or heavy add-ons. It actually has a set of fabrics that are soft and smooth against the skin. A sock-like fit has been integrated here, which means that the runner can actually wear this shoe comfortably even without socks. The lightly padded tongue and collar secure the foot in place, while also adding a bit of cushioning to the upper contours of the foot.
- The mid-sole unit of the Nike Flex Experience 5 makes use of a durable yet responsive foam, which runs the entire length of the shoe. It is responsible for delivering cushioning and shock attenuation. It doesn’t have a substantial weight, so it won’t feel as if the platform is dragging the foot down.
- Durable rubber has been strategically placed in order to protect the areas that are prone to wear and tear. Hexagonal flex grooves make the entire platform more flexible and agreeable to the natural movements of the wearer’s foot.
Nike Flex Experience 5 size and fit
The Nike Flex Experience 5 has a standard running shoe length. The available width for both the men and women’s versions is medium. It accommodates those with medium sized feet. It has a semi-curved shape, which nicely mimics the natural curve of the human foot.
Durable rubber covers areas of the foam mid-sole that are most likely to be affected by abrasion and wear. As it protects these sections, it also delivers traction, which is vital in terms of achieving surface control.
Hexagonal flex grooves allow the platform to be more flexible. They enable the foot to move more naturally, while diminishing the feeling of standing on a stiff platform.
The mid-sole unit of the Nike Flex Experience 5 uses Phylite, which is a lightweight and flexible full-length foam. It’s made from high quality materials, which make it efficient and long-lasting. It responsibly cushions the foot and attenuates shock.
A lightweight insole has been added on top of the main cushioning unit. It adds more cushioning, but it doesn’t make the underfoot experience heavy or inflexible. It has a curved mid-foot section, which allows it to support the arch.
A single-layer mesh serves as the main fabric for the Nike Flex Experience 5’s upper unit. Its breathable nature allows air into the foot-chamber in order to keep the wearer cool and dry.
A sock-like fit has been employed here, which means that the upper unit is able to wrap around the foot securely without limiting movement or causing any irritation to the skin.
The tongue and collar are lightly padded. They keep the foot in place and even add a slightly cushioned feel to the dimensions of the foot.
