Updates to Nike Dual Fusion X

  • Taking on the roads becomes easier and more agreeable to the wearer’s performance with the Nike Dual Fusion X. This running shoe features technologies that allow it to provide adequate comfort and security for the foot of the runner. The materials and components are sturdy and long-lasting, so it won’t easily succumb to damage or wear.
  • The upper unit of this running shoe makes use of a mesh material that’s lightweight, flexible and breathable. As it wraps around the foot, it keeps it feeling snug and secure. Air is encouraged to enter the shoe in order to keep the runner well-ventilated at all times. The Flywire system adds customizability to how the upper hugs the mid-foot area.
  • The mid-sole utilizes a foam technology that’s meant to deliver durable protection, cushioning and lasting performance. A firm carrier acts as a foundation that ensures the integrity of the platform’s structure, while a softer core delivers the cushioning that the runner needs. Overall, the mid-sole isn’t stiff or unwieldy, yet it’s responsive and comfortable.
  • Durable rubber covers the outsole unit of the Nike Dual Fusion X. The strong nature of this material allows it to last long, efficiently shielding the rest of the sole unit from wear and tear. Flex grooves are added to ensure that the foot is able to go through the gait cycle with ease, encouraging toe-offs that are performed as naturally as possible.

Nike Dual Fusion X size and fit

The Nike Dual Fusion X has a standard running shoe length. It comes in sizes that follow the measurements regularly used by men and women. The available width is medium, so this shoe is able to accommodate the runners who have medium sized feet. The natural dimensions of the human foot serve as the pattern on which its semi-curved shape is based.

Outsole

A durable rubber compound is used as the outsole unit of this running shoe. It is strong, and it doesn’t peel off easily. It handles the surface friction when traversing the roads, so the shoe stays protected from the potentially harmful nature of the asphalt. Traction is also part of its purpose.

Flex grooves are added to provide the foot with the freedom to move naturally through the gait cycle. They are particularly helpful during the toe-off phase, where the foot flexes the most.

Midsole

A dual-density mid-sole foam makes the platform very durable and very efficient in delivering precise cushioning to the entire underside of the foot. A carrier that’s made of a firm mold of the Phylon technology acts as a foundation that makes the sole unit strong and not easy to sag. An interior core made from a softer Phylon unit is responsible for the actual comfortable feeling the runner gets when standing on the mid-sole.

Additional underfoot cushioning is provided by the removable foam insole. It’s soft, responsive, and can be replaced with a new one, which is helpful whenever the wearer wants to feel newness to the platform.

Upper

The upper unit of the Nike Dual Fusion X utilizes durable, but breathable mesh in order to keep the foot wrapped in a cover system that’s comfortable and secure. It allows air to seamlessly enter the shoe in order to circulate within the foot-chamber.

A soft fabric lining makes the interior non-irritating to the skin. It even allows the runner to wear the shoe, even without socks.

The Flywire technology is comprised of a set of stretchable cables in the mid-foot, which are connected to the lacing system. Whenever the shoelaces are adjusted, the cables follow suit, essentially enabling the upper fabrics to tighten or loosen according to the preference of the runner.
