Good to know
Who is it for? Swoosh and golf fans would appreciate that this retro Nike sneaker comes to life as a golf silhouette. It is created for those who want to take this quintessential piece to the fairways.
Versatile traction. Even though this classic first found its heart in the running community, it also proves that making strides on the greens is possible. Everything that makes up the original was kept intact for the golf version, but the outsole injects a golf spin for this model.
To meet the turf demands of lady golfers, the bottom of the shoe is alternated with a sawtooth spikeless pattern. It satisfies the grip requirement to avoid slippage during foot rotation.
Comfortable on the course. The Nike Cortez G is integrated with a full-length foam midsole and a padded footbed to pile on underfoot cushioning for an entire-round comfort.
Lady in Cortez. Used to be a male-dominated sport, it is a fresh scene that more and more women are showing interest in putting. This shoe is assembled with the lady’s foot in mind. It has a shallow toe box, a higher and narrower arch, and tapered heel to keep the foot locked. A low collar construction puts a golf-specific feature on this model as it gives the ankles freedom to move freely, especially during a swing. A lace-up closure seals everything in place and keeps the feet from moving.
Much like the OG, the Cortez G embraces a leather upper with synthetic overlays. It delivers a special spin on the ubiquitous running shoe.
As the model that propelled Nike into being what it is now, the definition and the impact of the Cortez in the footwear and cultural community is immense. With over 50 years of existence, we have seen it in various shapes and sizes, but anyone would know that the product’s DNA is the iconic Swoosh logo on the sides, the grippy outsoles, and the red, white and blue colorway.
The golf-interpretation of this trainer doesn’t fall far off the tree. Taking it on the greens serves up some retro freshness instantly. Its timeless yet sporty blend to perfection doesn’t need much styling. No need to think too much as this shoe pairs well with shorts, skirts, and capris.
