The versatility of the low-top Nike Aqua Sock 360 has been praised by many users. This water-friendly all-purpose footwear was released in subdued colorways. It features a slip-on design with a sock-like mesh upper for the day-long wear. The Swoosh branding found on the foam heel clip and the woven logo on the tab enhance the sporty flair to this casual sneaker. The most notable feature of the Nike Aqua Sock 360 is the presence of three-piece rubber pods on the outsole. In the late 1980s, Geoff Hollister designed the original Nike Aqua Sock. It features a slip-on design with an ingenious mesh upper and a simple rubber outsole. It was originally designed to have an amphibious function that can be used on the dry land to the ocean floor with the greatest ease.
The Aqua Sock was one of the leading All Condition Gear (ACG) silhouettes in the 80s. A few years after, Nike released counterparts of the original Aqua Sock. Nike released the Aqua Sock Too and Aqua Sock Classic in the 90s. These shoes feature the same silhouette and profile of the original.
Exactly three decades after it was originally released, the Nike Aqua Sock was re-launched. The minimalist slip-on footwear is completed with double-layered mesh upper and grippy rubber outsole in a much more modern and defined pattern.
Both Nike and NikeLab released their own versions of the Aqua Sock 360. Nike issued a pair for general release featuring a simple mesh upper. Meanwhile, NikeLab issued a limited edition version of the Nike Aqua Sock 360. Just like the 1989 Nike Aqua Sock Too, the NikeLab Aqua Sock 360 has a thick strap that runs across the midfoot.
