  • The Nike Air Max Sequent 3 is a running shoe that’s designed for the neutral pronator. It’s optimized for road running, but its design allows it to function as a casual sneaker for daily use. It still retains the usual Nike construction that’s touted to be sturdy and agreeable.
  • Stretchy fabric is used for the upper unit. It hugs the foot securely and moves in tandem with it. A partial cleatie construction evokes the feeling of wearing a sock, potentially heightening the in-shoe feel. Flywire cables and synthetic overlays secure the foot in place while providing a snug coverage.
  • The underfoot platform makes use of a visible, U-shaped Air Max unit, which is made up of a plastic piece that stores compressed air. It attenuates impact shock and leads the foot through the gait cycle. A full-length Phylon foam compliments the balloon-like add-on by providing cushioning for the entire underside of the foot. Durable rubber shields the midsole from wear and tear. It also ensures surface traction, which is essential for every run.

The Nike Air Max Sequent 3 has a standard running shoe length. It follows the usual choices of consumers when it comes to size. The available widths are B – Medium for the ladies and D – Medium for men. The semi-curved shape of this product accommodates the natural curve of the human foot.

The Nike Air Max Sequent 3 makes use of a rubber compound to protect the midsole foam from wear and tear. It has a moderate thickness, which allows it to last long. Square patterns and small protuberances heighten surface traction.

Flex grooves are fashioned on the midfoot and forefoot sections. They make the platform more flexible, thus accommodating the natural bending capacity of the foot.

Phylon is a compound that aims to provide responsive cushioning to the foot of the wearer. It runs the entire length of the Air Max Sequent 3. It’s also flexible and shock-absorbent.

Air Max is a U-shaped unit that’s placed in the heel section of the midsole. This visible component, which is also added into the Nike Sequent 4, is filled with compressed air. Its purpose is to absorb impact shock during the landing phase of the gait cycle, thus warranting a smooth foot-strike and an agreeable toe-off.

The upper unit of the Nike Air Max Sequent 3 features a stretch-knit fabric. It wraps around the foot and causes it to feel a sock-like fit that moves with it. Moreover, it’s breathable, so it’s capable of maintaining a cool and dry in-shoe experience.

Synthetic overlays are fused onto the midfoot façade. They don’t add bulk to the design of the shoe, yet they help in keeping the foot in place.

Four Flywire cables, two on each side, connect directly to the shoestrings. These stretchy yet sturdy wires follow the loosening or tightening of the fit, therefore giving a customizable midfoot coverage.

A partial cleatie construction permits the feeling of smoothness while wearing the shoe. It staves off skin irritation or hot spots, particularly in the ankles, the heel, and the instep.

A molded foam is placed in the heel section to act as a counter. Its purpose is to lock the foot in place and prevent it from exiting the collar unintentionally.
