Nike Air Max 90 Winter Premium History

The global giant introduced one of their most remarkable finds in the year 1978. Dubbed as the Air-Sole technology, this invention was considered as revolutionary. Soon after, a series of innovative, stylish footwear were introduced. The first to make its debut was the iconic Air Max 1.

Launched in 1987, the Air Max 1 (also known as the Air Max 87) was the first runner to feature an unconcealed Air unit. Its design, conceived by genius Tinker Hatfield, was inspired by the controversial inside-out structure in Paris. Called the Centre Georges Pompidou, similar to the AM1, this must-see attraction is well-liked for its unique and irregular structure.

High-tech and fashion-forward, the Air Max 1 soon became one of the most sought-after models of the brand. Its success, though, just pushed Hatfield and his team to develop better versions of this masterpiece. Three years after, the Air Max 90 was born. The third model to be released for this series, it was distinguished for its bolder tones and bigger Air bubble.

This ubiquitous runner that was later on adopted by the popular culture soon turned into a lifestyle shoe. Donned in a variety of materials, versions of different types were created to match the changing seasons.

The Air Max 90 Winter Premium, as the name suggests, is made to endure the ice and snow during the colder months. Commonly wrapped in leather, lined with warm yet breathable mesh and built with durable, non-slip gum outsole, this shoe is perceived as an excellent winter/fall footwear. Its versatile style, however, allowed fans to wear it all year round.
