Nike Air Huarache Run Mid History

In the early 90s, Tinker Hatfield introduced one of his masterpieces, the Nike Huarache. Initially, the company expressed hesitations in revealing this model for its style that is way ahead of its time. After this kick was used during its test run by several runners, the company received numerous demands from them for this model to be released to the public.

The Nike Huarache features a design similar to the look of the South American sandals that fit like waterski footwear. The prototype Huarache was made of spandex and neoprene upper with sock-like construction that provided a secure fit. The brand used the Air sole unit and the TPU heel strap for added comfortable fit. Many expressed admirations to this pair's excellent comfort and tagged it as footwear with flawless performance.

One of the latest evolutions of the Nike Huarache is the Nike Air Huarache Run Mid that stayed true to the silhouette's signature elements and amplified the collar height for added style and support. The Swoosh tailored this model to suit cooler days as it is injected with water-repellent leather upper. To further modernize it, the brand used the zipper as this pair's closure system with gusseted tongue for added protection.

Nike Air Huarache Run Mid Style

The mid-top Nike Air Huarache Mid kept nothing from its predecessor except for the Air sole unit and the TPU heel strap. The brand used sock-like neoprene and the stylish zipper closure system with gusseted tongue for the cold weather-ready facet. Meanwhile, the tad shiny leather overlay adds a luxurious look and one-off appeal. This model has a bold design described as the epic fresh version that suits buyers with fashion-forward taste. Most ladies can be seen strutting this footwear with skinnies, leggings, shorts, or even with dresses.

Fit and Sizing

This model is presented in women's sizing from 5 to 12 US in medium width. Men are advised to purchase 1.5 sizes up their regular shoe size for more comfortable and secured treads. This model is considered correct to size; thus it is suggested to take one's standard size.

The Nike Air Huarache Run Mid got rid of the traditional lacing system in favor of the zip-up scheme for easier on and off. The brand constructed it with a full-length neoprene inner sleeve to keep the feet secured and warm for the cold days.

Notable Features

Aside from the taller ankle height, the Nike Air Huarache Run Mid has a zip-up closure system to make it easier for its wearers to put this mid-top kick on and off. This boot-like Huarache will surely suit wearers with an on-the-go lifestyle who value staying trendy and feeling comfy.
