Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Leather History
The Air Force 1 UltraForce Leather is Nike’s 2017 revival of the iconic Air Force 1 of the 80s, which of course got its name from Air Force One, the aircraft that usually carries the President of the United States of America.
The original was released in 1982, and was the first basketball shoe to use the Nike Air technology. It was designed by Bruce Kilgore. Because of its attractive colorway and performance-enhancing capabilities, AF 1’s following spread like wildfire among athletes, including big names such as Charles Barkley and Moses Malone. The shoes also went on to influence hip-hop culture and music.
The current model retains much of the original design. It also retains the use of the Nike Air technology in its midsole. A notable improvement would be its use of smooth leather on the upper and much lighter materials on the outsole. The latest Nike technologies and innovation make this model easily one of the lightest versions ever.
Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Leather Style
It has been said that rarely does one go wrong with a classic. The same holds true with the Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Leather. With its neat classic silhouette and rolled-over edges, the shoe just goes with almost every item in the modern man’s closet. If black and white are too ordinary, the Air Force 1 UltraForce Leather also comes in linen and red, which can provide the much desired look upgrade.
Fit & Sizing
This pair of men’s shoes comes in a wide range of sizes. The smallest Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Leather is size 6, the largest is size 18. This model comes in medium widths. Because of its basketball DNA and design, the shoe offers excellent hold for those who are active or for those who are always on the go.
Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 silhouette is clearly evident in this shoe and is easily its most notable feature. There is also that chunky midsole/outsole that sneaker fans should have no trouble recognizing.
The UltraForce Leather version of the Air Force 1 looks very classy because of the premium leather in the upper. As with most leathers, this give the shoe even more comfort and durability.
