Nike Air Force 1 Hi Just Don History

In celebration of the Air Force 1's 35th anniversary, Nike tapped on five visionaries for a special five pair release. The artists or brands that lent their skills for Nike included Virgil Abloh, Acronym, Don C, Roc-A-Fella, and Travis Scott. The five exclusive models were dubbed as the AF-100 Project and were revealed at ComplexCon.

For the Don C x Nike Air Force 1 Hi, designer Don Crawley who owns the brand, Just Don created it. He began his affinity for the Air Force 1 at a very young age at Kenwood High School. He took inspiration from the concept of "family" and showcased it through blending different design elements from various shoes in the Air Force family. The toe box and the general style were inspired by the Air Force 1 model, while the heel TPU paneling came from the Air Force 2, and finally, the top eyelets and midfoot panels were influenced by the Air Force 3.
