Overall, the Adapt BB 2 is a specialty sneaker. I don't think everyone should go out and spend 400 dollars on these.
It's a solid sneaker. I just wouldn't go and buy them again.
Overall, I found that the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 was better than the original Adapt BB, but I still don’t feel that these are necessarily for me. I prefer laces. Better materials — even though this setup works fine. And more importantly, I like to have a more reliable traction setup.
The traction was nice. The cushion was nice. They did that correctly. And, the fit and support were all there.
Nike basketball continues to refine its ground-breaking basketball sneaker to make it more suitable for on-court play. The updated Nike Adapt BB features a large Air Zoom Turbo cushion for bouncier court feel. Nike designers also reconfigured the Adapt BB 2.0's midsole stack height for a smoother ride.
The highlight of the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 is the power lacing system that provides an unparalleled fit at the push of a button. Owners can also fine-tune the fit with their smartphone by installing the Nike Adapt App.
Cushion. The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 utilizes a mix of Cushlon foam and Air Zoom Turbo for a highly responsive cushioning platform that doesn't interfere with the Adapt mechanism. This improved setup provides all-around comfort and engages at different angles to help you cut through the defense with ease.
Traction. These Nike basketball shoes feature a durable translucent outsole with a modified herringbone traction pattern for increased grip on the hardwood.
Closure. The Adapt BB 2.0 is powered by the Nike FitAdapt technology that electronically adjusts to the shape of the foot. FitAdapt is a breakthrough lacing system that provides a customized and consistent fit.
The FitAdapt technology can be controlled remotely with the use of Nike's Adapt App. This feature gives you complete control of the shoe with the use of your smartphone.
These mid-top basketball shoes also have a molded heel piece that keeps the ankle stable and locked in place.
The Nike Adapt BB 2.0's upper is constructed of moldable TPU yarns and stretchable ballistic mesh. These lightweight materials are designed to provide support, breathability, and flexibility.
The Adapt BB 2.0 features an improved design to make it easier to wear. Nike designers removed the Flyknit shroud and opened up the collar for easy on and off. The padded tongue also improves the overall fit.
These premium basketball sneakers also have more immersive detailing than the original model. The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 features a larger Swoosh made of pixelated textures.
With the Nike Adapt App, owners can adjust the fit, change presets, check battery levels, and customize the lights through their smartphone or smartwatch.
The Adapt BB 2.0 from Nike comes in the following colorways:
Nike Adapt BB 2.0 'Chicago'
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant debuted this gamer-exclusive colorway during the NBA's 2020 Rising Stars Challenge. These red basketball shoes are dressed in Chicago's classic color scheme. Other details include a suede heel, reflective tongue, and icy translucent outsole.
Nike Adapt BB 2.0 'Tie-Dye'
This release of the Adapt BB 2.0 features tie-dye print under its translucent upper. Translucent detailing on the heel, midfoot, and outsole complete the design.
