Updates to Newton Motion VI

  • The Newton Motion VI boasts the all-new Newtonium foam cushioning, which provides high-energy cushioning for the foot. This technology allows the runner to go for high-mileage endurance training or racing because it evenly distributes energy from the ground impact.
  • A new tongue design is also present in this running shoe. Now made of a more breathable mesh, it accommodates comfort and ventilation without sacrificing fit and security.
  • Heel support is also promoted with the new Heel Lace Lock to deliver a snug lockdown and an updated pre-molded heel counter for a secure fit.

Newton Motion VI size and fit

The Newton Motion VI is a stability running shoe with a silhouette not straying far from its predecessor. The stretch panels are designed to provide additional room, so the shoe can accommodate the foot regardless of its volume. Width profiles come in D – Medium for men and B – Medium for women.

Outsole

The outsole of the Newton Motion VI is made of a high-density rubber for improved durability. It makes use of the super high abrasion rubber compound or ‘s.h.a.r.c.’ for long-lasting strength and protection against damage.

The shoe also makes use of the patented P.O.P. 1 (Point of Power) platform, which displays squared off lugs that recedes into an air-filled chamber for a fast underfoot feel. The lugs employ an action-reaction technique, compressing on impact to absorb shock and expanding on toe-off to release energy.

Midsole

The Motion VI introduces the Newtonium foam—made of high-rebound EVA—for maximized responsiveness and superior comfort.

This layer of bouncy cushioning employs the extended medial bridge (EMB) platform to distribute the impact evenly and deliver a more functional support for runners with medial side pronation or a flat arch.

An ETC sock liner is present to promote a clean and healthy foot environment for the runner with its antibacterial properties. It can be removed or replaced entirely.

Upper

The upper of the Newton Motion VI is made of seamless engineered mesh and textile, which enable breathability. The mesh material extends to the stabilization tongue, which is updated to better enhance the fit of the upper. The entire upper construction is Strobel-lasted to a full-length fabric for a comfortable underfoot feel. A 360-degree reflective feature allows the runner to remain visible even in low-light conditions.

The four-way stretch mesh metatarsal panel is still present in this edition of the Motion, allowing the shoe to accommodate the shape of any foot and increase comfort especially in the toe area.

Heel enhancements are present through the Heel Lace Lock feature that provides a snug heel lockdown, and the updated pre-molded heel counter that supports the heel with a secure fit.

Ankle support is endorsed by the mesh tongue and the collar, which now have better design conventions for an improved upper fit. It is made more flexible and breathable for maximum comfort. Strobel Last promotes support and underfoot cushioning.

This running shoe makes use of a conventional lace-up system. The adjustable laces are lightweight and semi-flat. Coupled with a soft fabric lining on the collar, this feature provides a secure fit and a great in-shoe feel.
