In April 2018, New Balance released a patriotic-themed rendition of the New Balance Made in US 999. This particular version boasts a combination of suede, leather, and mesh materials on the upper in magenta, white, and blue colors. On the ankle and “N” logo are hints of 3M reflective accents, while the outsole still utilizes ABZORB technology. Each pair retails at $180.
In July 2018, another colorway of the Made in US 999 launched, the “Grey with Pewter.” Like the previous releases, this colorway boasts a premium suede and mesh upper with reflective 3M panel accents, but is dressed in shades of gray and white colors. Similarly, each pair retails at $180.
