Use - Equipped with technical features that are specifically designed for long-distance races, the New Balance LD5000 v6 is best suited for 3000 meters up to 10,000 meters.
Spike Plate - For superior grip and traction, the LD5000 v6 features a Pebax® spike plate. Known for its rigidity and lightweight construction, this spike plate will help runners achieve unrivaled speed.
- Promising to provide support without bulk, there are some notable updates made to New Balance LD5000 v6. Inspired by New Balance’s elite athlete, Emma Coburn, the shoe is now fashioned with more lightness and breathability with its brand new engineered mesh upper.
- The upper is also stripped off of some overlays in order to minimize the overall weight of the shoe without sacrificing support. Another noticeable update made is its revised sock collar construction. It intends to provide more comfort and support to the runner.
The New Balance LD5000 v6 is available in standard sizing measurement for both male and female users. To get the accurate fit and size of this track and field shoe, it is best to try on its fit or go through various user feedback first before proceeding to purchase.
Since high-performance traction aids to the versatility of the shoe on different surfaces, the New Balance LD5000 v6 is equipped with Dynaride® outsole. It has a lightweight configuration that adheres to the pledge of the shoe to deliver a lightweight ride.
The Pebax® plate of the shoe utilizes a full-length stiff polymer. Although rigid, this spike plate employs minimal weight and ample flexibility. The Pebax® plate of the shoe also sports a redesigned geometry and textured heel for better traction.
The spike plate design features a four-spike configuration to further the shoe’s traction.
Enhancing the rebound properties of the LD5000 v6 is its REVlite RC® midsole. It consists of high-density foam compound to provide a lightweight and responsive cushioning.
The upper cover of the New Balance LD5000 v6 is like that of Nike Zoom D. It features an engineered mesh that gives a breathable wrap around the foot, maintaining a healthy and fresh foot environment.
Living up to its name, the FantomFit technology integrated into this running shoe consists of lightweight upper materials to deliver that barely-there fit. It fuses the engineered mesh and synthetic overlays of the shoe together for optimal support.
To promote an irritation-free experience, the FantomFit incorporates no-sew overlays, creating ultralight fit with maximum support.
