Updates to New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz Sport

  • The New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz Sport is a fashion-focused running shoe that’s designed for the roads. It makes use of a lightweight façade to encourage quick turnovers and agreeable performances. The midfoot saddle has a reflective detail to permit nighttime runs.
  • Underfoot cushioning is provided by a full-length Fresh Foam compound. It is also designed to attenuate shock and give energy back to the runner. A protective rubber outsole keeps the foam material from getting affected by wear and tear.

New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz Sport size and fit

The New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz Sport is half-a-size smaller than the regular measurements, so it is recommended to order ½ size up to get a comfortable experience. The women’s iteration of this model has the B – Medium width option. The men’s version offers the D – Medium variant. This running shoe has a semi-curved shape which follows the natural curvature of the human foot.

Outsole

The outsole unit of the New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz Sport makes use of a semi-translucent rubber compound to shield the rest of the platform from abrasion and the effects of continued use. It’s flexible, and it gives out traction as well.

Hexagonal shapes are patterned across the external layer. These outlines heighten traction and encourage flexibility, particularly for the metatarsals.

Midsole

Fresh Foam is New Balance’s proprietary lightweight foam. It’s a full-length compound that offers responsive cushioning for the wearer. It also adapts to the natural movement capacity of the foot, flexing and reacting to its speed and effort. This midsole foam is also utilized in the NB Cruz Sport v2.

Upper

A mesh material makes up the front section of the upper unit. Its purpose is to secure the foot and provide ventilation. Breathing pores allow airflow into the foot-chamber.

The heel section has a stretchy material that resembles a sock. It aims to hold the back of the foot in place and prevent it from exiting the shoe unintentionally.

The bootie construction converts the maw that receives the foot of the wearer into a single-piece unit. The purpose of this design is to smoothen the in-shoe experience and permit a sock-like coverage.

A handy pull tab rests on the back portion of the collar. It makes it easier to wear and remove the New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz Sport.

The two sides of the shoe have midfoot saddles made of synthetic materials. These stitched add-ons help the lacing system in delivering a secure fit. A reflective coating allows these parts of the upper to stand out, especially during nighttime runs.
