You got yourself a pretty durable shoe. Good price.

  • 87 / 100 by Solereview • Solereview • Level 5 expert

It retains the smooth midsole ride of the V1, but in a slightly firmer avatar. The new urethane-coated upper fits narrower than before and comes with an inner sleeve.

  • 70 / 100 by Running Shoes Guru • Michael Mason-D'Croz • Level 4 expert

The New Balance Boracay v3 is a lightweight trainer designed to help you push your pace yet feel comfortable.

  • 87 / 100 by Runner Sol • George Alford • Level 1 expert

I tried hard to find something that stuck out about this shoe, but I couldn't find something. Even with the new mesh, there is nothing that makes me happy.

Updates to New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3

  • The New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3 is a road running shoe that’s created for those who have a neutral gait when taking each step. It features a no-sew upper construction, which significantly staves of that bulky look that’s predominant in overlay-riddled footwear. A set of hexagonal prints pockmark the upper, giving the shoe more structure while also securing the foot in a snug wrap.
  • The mid-sole platform of this running shoe is very straightforward in design. It goes across the entire length of the shoe, making sure to cushion the foot at all times. But the proprietary technology used here is responsive, supportive and long-lasting. A bit more underfoot cushioning is also given by the added sock liner.
  • The outsole unit of the New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3 utilizes blown rubber. This material is able to provide reliable traction throughout the running session. But it’s also able to deliver additional cushioning to the runner because it has a semi-soft and flexible disposition. It’s still durable, so it won’t wear off easily. Flex grooves make the external section more agreeable to the natural movements of the foot.

New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3 size and fit

The New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3 has a standard running shoe length. The sizing scheme basically follows the regular preferences of runners. The available widths for both the men and women’s versions are Medium and Wide. It accommodates a variety of foot-types. The semi-curved shape of this shoe follows the natural curve of the human foot.

Outsole

The outsole unit of the New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3 makes use of blown rubber. This material is durable and it is able to shield the rest of the mid-sole from wear and tear. It also provides traction, which is important for the running session.

The textured nature of the outsole makes the platform more agreeable to the natural flexibility of the foot.

Midsole

The mid-sole unit of the New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3 features the Fresh Foam technology. This foam is responsive and it carries the foot well. It’s updated with geometric shapes to accommodate better shock absorption and a springier ride.

A Traditional Sock Liner is placed right above the main mid-sole unit. It gives a bit more cushioning to the foot of the runner.

Upper

Open Mesh is the main material used for the upper unit of the New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay v3. This lightweight material has an open construction, which means that it is able to accommodate airflow into the foot-chamber. It doesn’t tear apart easily, as well.

A no-sew design is present in this product. The upper has been constructed to provide a soft and smooth coverage that’s akin to wearing socks.

Hexagonal printed overlays provide structural integrity to the façade; they also assist in delivering a snug and secure fit.
