New Balance 574 Fresh Foam History
New Balance capitalizes on classic designs and continues to flourish with its retro renditions, specifically in the running category. One of its revamped profiles that joined the brand’s list of retro running catalogue is the New Balance 574 Fresh Foam, dropped in January 2016.
This sneaker took its shape from the original running shoe, the New Balance 574. The OG version was released in 1988, roughly a decade later when running began to reach its peak in the US. The New Balance 574 is considered one of the most popular training shoes created by the brand. This trainer is constructed with features that offer comfort, durability and flexibility propelling runners to hit their personal best.
A truly standout element of this shoe is the New Balance ENCAP which is an innovative technology found in its midsole. The ENCAP is made up of a soft, cushioning core of EVA with a hard-wearing rim of polyurethane which is placed in the heel area for all the needed cushioning and protection.
The original silhouette has received a number of upgrades from the time it was first reissued in 2003. This much loved classic silhouette remained in the production line of New Balance as it continues to create a huge impact among runners, NB supporters, and sneaker enthusiasts.
One of the new breed versions of the OG is the New Balance 574 Fresh Foam. This sneaker stripped off some of the elements on the upper which makes this classic variation minimalist and lightweight. The genius technology of the Fresh Foam used in modern running shoes is incorporated to this new edition.
The Fresh Foam that debuted in 2013 takes the place of the ENCAP technology. This advanced midsole engineering design consists of different zonal support that offers soft, plush ride as well as stability and impact protection where it’s needed.
New Balance 574 Fresh Foam Style
The New Balance 574 Fresh Foam, which comes in a variety of colors, retained the classic profile of the original running shoe. This edition is made to be stylish minus the flamboyant colors of the earlier variations. It’s a kind of shoe that is comfortable for daily wear and for light running with a style that perfectly blends with a wide range of casual wear.
Fit & Sizing
The New Balance 574 Fresh Foam comes in men’s sizes from 6 to 12 US. The shoe generally runs true to size and in medium width. The lacing design offers a secure fit and good hold while the grippy lugs in the outsole offer stability. These features make this shoe ideal for those who are on their feet all day.
The New Balance’s rendition of the 1988 classic silhouette makes heads turn, especially those who favors timeless designs. The New Balance 574 Fresh Foam stripped off the bulky features of the earlier models and tamed the design with minimalist curves. The highly appreciated Fresh Foam element in the midsole doesn’t only provide a modern tweak, but offers a functional appeal that favors sneaker enthusiasts, New Balance collectors, and runners.
