Fit & Sizing

The New Balance 440 is a unisex shoe that is offered in men's sizes that range from 6 to 13. Ladies who want to purchase a pair should go 1.5 sizes down from their normal shoe size. The shoe generally fits true to size. A few reviewers, though, claim that it felt smaller than their other pair and recommended going up a size.

It utilizes the traditional lace-up closure to provide a snug and lockdown fit. New Balance's signature technology called the C-Cap heel wedge offers added soft cushioning and absorbs impact.

New Balance 440 Style

Outfitted in a sleek low-top silhouette, the New Balance 440 is rooted in the design of one of the brand's running silhouette from the 70s. The shoe exudes a vintage appeal that's retro sporty, and timeless at the same time. The guys can dress it up in a crewneck sweatshirt, shorts, high socks, and a five-panel cap for a day in the skate park, while the ladies can opt for a fun vintage ensemble by going for high-waisted jeans and a cropped top.

Notable Features

High wear and tear areas feature multiple layers of suede for added durability and help resist wear and tear. All these goodies sit atop a cupsole and an N-Durance rubber outsole that offers cushioning and grip respectively.
