New Balance 1300 History
The brand, since its inception, has remained loyal to its roots. In order to ensure craftsmanship and quality, the company, for over a century, has maintained no less than 70% of their production in the US despite the high cost.
In addition, New Balance also continued to adhere to their “Endorsed by No One” philosophy. While other global brands sought the help of celebrities to promote their products, the people behind this famous brand focused on making high-performance kicks to stand out.
The Classic NB 1300 is among the most coveted sneakers that stood the test of time. Originally released in 1985, the shoe was initially introduced as a luxury item. Priced at $130, only the affluent as well as the senior runners were capable of buying the shoes.
This iconic silhouette has received a variety of iterations since its launch and the brand is not showing any signs of stopping. Thus, NB fans from around the globe can expect unique and interesting editions from this premium line in the future.
New Balance 1300 Style
Consider pairing your jeans, sweatpants, shorts and other dressy and casual clothing with the New Balance 1300 if you want to make heads turn. Family, friends and even strangers will surely notice this street-ready lifestyle shoe for its retro yet fashion forward aesthetics.
To top it off, multiple colorways have also been released. From the clean and simple sheer gray color to the striking red and the rugged dark green with navy, finding a model that would match your unique taste, style and personality is going to be easy.
Fit & Sizing
The New Balance 1300, taking its roots from a running shoe, provides adequate support. With the sneaker’s upper being made of leather and mesh, fans of the brand can also expect the shoe to hold the foot better and to give ample ventilation.
This shoe is available in men’s and women’s sizes. The men’s is from 5 to 14 while the women’s are from 5.5 to 12. Both are offered in standard widths of D for the men’s and B for the women’s. The 1300 generally runs true to size and width.
Aside from its eye-catching and stunning upper, the New Balance 1300 is also recognized for its molded midsole which utilizes the famous ENCAP technology. This gives the shoe enhanced support and durability.
In addition, IMEVA, also known as injection molded EVA foam, has been embedded in the shoe’s midsole. This feature, on the other hand, gives the kicks its flexible cushioning.
- The padded collar and cushioned meshed panels in the shoe makes the New Balance 1300 more comfortable.
- It has a removable EVA footbed.
- Other distinguishable features of the shoe are its synthetic lining, stitched branding and solid rubber outsole.
- A waterproof New Balance 1300 was also introduced. This men’s and women’s trail walking shoe’s upper is made of mesh and leather. In addition, the shoe’s sole uses the ROLLBAR® stability technology to reduce unnecessary rear foot movement.
