Native Jefferson Block - Americana History

Native Shoes debuted in 2009 in Vancouver, guided by the vision of creating “Future Classics” that are made from EVA material. Shoes for men, women, and children constructed using innovative and lightweight EVA have been the brand’s trademark products ever since. The company’s colorful styles and playful designs have since been expanded and distributed in over 30 countries around the world.

Founder Damian Van Zyll De Jong had no prior experience or knowledge about the shoemaking industry before establishing Native. However, he persisted and improved his skills and know-how by consulting with friends in the industry as well as studying the manufacturing aspect for over a year overseas. Through his efforts, he was able to release his own collection.

From the start, he knew that he wanted to offer something different than the typical vulcanized or canvas shoes. As a result, Native sneakers are made up of a unique, one-piece EVA material, such as in the Jefferson model. This shoe has become the top offering in the brand’s EVA catalog, with many versions and colorways released.

One updated model is the Native Jefferson Block Americana, a lightweight and breathable sneaker with a dash of patriotism. Just like many of Native’s EVA kicks, this shoe is shock-absorbent, hand-washable, and odor-resistant, ideal for extended wearing during a variety of activities, especially in the summer.

Native Jefferson Block - Americana Style

Available in a Stars and Stripes-inspired Shell White/Regatta Blue/Torch Block colorway, the Native Jefferson Block Americana celebrates all things American. Its convenient features include a lightweight and breathable structure, making it perfect for the summer season.

Summer staples such as shorts, leggings, skirts, and dresses will go well with the shoe’s eye-catching yet relaxed vibe. A simple white cotton tee and a pair of shorts or jeans will show off the sneaker’s color-block design, adding a vibrant touch to any outfit.

Fit & Sizing

Men’s and women’s sizes are offered for the Native Jefferson Block - Americana. It’s available in men’s 3-13 and women’s 5-12 in medium width. It fits true to size, but there are no half sizes available, which has been a disappointment for some users. The whole shoe is made of EVA, making it breathable and durable. It has a slip-on function and a low collar which lets the ankle move without restrictions.

Notable Features

The low-top Native Jefferson Block Americana is made with an injection-molded EVA construction, offering a lot of benefits for wearers. It’s lightweight, odor-resistant, sturdy, and well-ventilated. With these features, the shoe could be worn for various water activities or during warm weather. It has a simple design with perforations all over the upper. On the tongue and heel are embossed Native logos for a subtle touch.
