Good to know

A durable fit can be expected from the Native Ap Moc, which has a one-piece microfiber material for the upper. It’s offered in men’s sizes from 4-13 and in women’s sizes from 6-12. It’s in medium width and fits according to size. Nevertheless, many users found that the sizing is smaller than usual and went up by half a size.

Additionally, it’s also said to be narrow, so wide-footed wearers may not find this shoe ideal. It’s a slip-on shoe with lace detail, enabling the user to put the sneaker on and off for convenient wearing. The ankle can move freely due to the shoe’s low-top design.

Featuring a distinctive athleisure flair, the Native Apollo Moc offers many styling possibilities thanks to Native’s low top portfolio. Its sporty appearance is perfect for jeans, leggings, shorts, and track pants. For the men, a t-shirt along with a jacket will complete the on-the-go look. Meanwhile for the ladies, a tank top, t-shirt, or sweatshirt will create the trendy appeal of an active lifestyle.

Perforations along the seamless microfiber upper provide a variation to the otherwise minimalistic style of the low-top Native Apollo Moc. There is a lace detail on the front for added style, while the shoe is kept in monochrome simplicity. An elastic material is on the sides of the tongue to stretch the shoe when sliding the foot in and out. Native branding is on the tag near the heel.

Back in 2009, Damian Van Zyll De Jong established Native Shoes in Vancouver, Canada. His vision was to create lightweight and futuristic shoes that had a minimalistic and functional design. He also wanted to defy the current trends of canvas and vulcanized sneakers. Ever since then, the company was able to swiftly expand to over 30 other countries, finding success with their colorful and unique kicks.

The company initially wanted to manufacture EVA shoes that were injection-molded, but the team soon found out that such a rigid material would bring too much constraint. They then began to experiment with other materials, including various fabrics for the upper. At present, Native produces shoes that usually feature a one-piece EVA unit. Unique advantages include anti-microbial properties and the ability to put in any scent on the sneaker.

One of the brand’s offerings fuses the past and future together to create a modern classic: the Native Ap Moc. It’s a slip-on with the look of an athletic-inspired, minimalist sneaker, perfect for any kind of casual undertaking. Users can just put on the shoe and take off anywhere, whether it’s for a night out, traveling, walking around, or running errands.

  • For added durability, there are rubber inserts on the heel and toe.
  • The EVA outsole and midsole provide cushioning and support.
  • This Native sneaker is 100% “Beast Free” or vegan.
  • The perforated Superfoam insole offers unique cushioning for comfort.
