  • Mizuno Wave Sonic 2 has been engineered to be more modern and packed with energy generating technology. It is a versatile and lightweight shoe that provides a responsive and fast running experience.  Entirely created for your uptempo training, this shoe generates enormous amounts of energy and offers sensational speed that can be truly felt during the runs.
  • The shoe features a newly developed ESS Wave plate that generates high levels of energy for an incredibly responsive running experience. It is also the technology that helps in making the Wave Sonic 2 ideal for fast-paced, uptempo training.
  • The latest iteration of the Wave Sonic shoes also sees an updated asymmetrical upper construction that provides an exceptional fit and customized feeling.
  • Mizuno has also decided to keep the reliable U4ic midsole in the Wave Sonic 2. The U4ic is the one responsible for giving the shoe its dynamic cushioning and underfoot comfort.

The Mizuno Wave Sonic 2 just like the Mizuno Wave Creation 20 is a neutral road running shoes that are made in standard sizing. It runs true to size, which means it can accommodate the regular size preference of the consumers. For its width, it comes in medium D for men and medium B for women, respectively

The Wave Sonic 2 features an X10 outsole, which provides the shoe's durability and traction. Engineered from very durable Mizuno carbon rubber, the X10 outsole offers longer wear in the Sonic 2's high impact areas, and it also provides more traction at every heel-strike.

Lastly, the zig-zag grooves that are located in the forefoot area promote a more responsive toe-off.  The grooves additionally let the shoe flex where the foot naturally flexes, providing a more comfortable and personalized running experience.

True to its name, the Mizuno Wave Sonic 2 incorporates the Wave Technology in its midsole. Wave is the industry's most effective shoe technology with its unique shape that dissipates impact forces away from the foot for a more cushioned feel on every step.

The lightweight U4ic midsole stays true to the race-ready vibes of this speedy running shoe, delivering responsive cushioning and stress-free cushioned rides with high rebounds. Mizuno Wave creates a cushioned, stable feel and caters for smooth heel-to-toe transitions. This evolutionary midsole technology also absorbs impact and gives a higher rebound, thus fulfilling the most comfortable, energized run possible.

The shoe is also equipped with the new ESS Wave plate which is placed in the midfoot section. It generates vast amounts of energy return and provides an upbeat running experience that is ideal for dynamic and fast-paced training. The ESS Wave Plates, combined with the U4icX midsole, delivers a very efficient cushioning-to-weight ratio that will surely provide the best road running performance.

The Wave Sonic 2 uses Airmesh uppers. This material encases each foot in breathable comfort. Airmesh is used to increase airflow into the upper, and its perforations to better create a healthy environment for the feet to thrive in. This mesh matter lets air fully permeate the entire upper, providing a continuous supply of fresh and cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air.

Mizuno has also added their unique Dynamotion Fit technology, which is all about creating a shoe that works with the feet through the design and materials used to create it. The Dynamotion Fit system uses advanced motion capture and biomechanics technology. Mizuno has developed this design blueprint to engineer shoes that work with your foot throughout the gait cycle. In addition, the upper offers synthetic overlays that help with structural integrity, making sure that the upper stabilizes the foot by providing a wrapped around fit and feel. Thanks to the overlays as well as the asymmetrical construction the Wave Sonic 2 ensures a perfect fit for no compromise runs.
