- The Mizuno Wave Creation 20 is a road running shoe that’s made for those who have neutral pronation. This product also has a platform that can support the gait discrepancies of supinators or underpronators. While the primary cushioning foam is comprised of the U4ic foam, the back part is fitted with an Infinity Wave Plate and a Pebax® plate, giving copious amounts of in-shoe steadiness and shock-attenuation.
- The upper unit of this neutral running shoe is made up of a breathable mesh and multiple layers of stitched overlays. Thin prints and stretchy fabric reinforce some sections, giving a snug yet form-welcoming coverage.
The Mizuno Wave Creation 20 was constructed using the standard measurements, allowing runners to utilize their usual sizing expectations when deciding on getting a pair. When it comes to width, the available options are D – Medium and B – Medium for men and women, respectively. This running shoe is able to welcome those who have medium foot dimensions.
An U4icX Strobel Lasting Board is used to connect the upper to the platform. It is made of a soft foam that causes this connective tissue to blend with the primary cushioning foam underneath it, ensuring that the underfoot experience remains smooth. The semi-curved shape of this lasting board mimics the natural outline of the human foot.
The outsole unit of the Mizuno Wave Creation 20 is made out of X10™, a rubber compound that is touted to be highly resistant to abrasion. This layer generously covers the contact points, ensuring that the midsole is preserved. It is also responsible for doling out grip over the surfaces.
Flex grooves in the forefoot area allow the sole unit to bend in conjunction with the foot as it moves through the gait cycle. The toe-off phase dramatically benefits from this configuration as it is the part that involves the most joint bending.
U4ic is a full-length foam that serves as the primary underfoot support unit of the Mizuno Wave Creation 20. It is also the one that’s tasked with embodying a soft and smooth underfoot experience for the wearer.
The Infinity Wave Plate is a two-layer thermoplastic add-on that takes the shape of the mathematical infinity symbol. The purpose of these add-ons is to bolster the heel support system while also attenuating impact shock and preventing underfoot wobbling.
The Pebax® Plate is another curved layer placed in the heel section. It reinforces the Wave unit and the foam above it, adding more oomph to the entire package.
The Mizuno Intercool is a midsole ventilation system that allows air to flow through the foot-chamber from below. It’s a helpful feature that maintains a cool and dry environment.
Breathable mesh is used for the upper unit of the Mizuno Wave Creation 20. This textile has a seamless construction and a form-accommodating design that welcomes the natural shape of the foot. Its set of ventilation pores accommodate airflow.
Stitched-on overlays pockmark the sides and the heel of this shoe. The purpose of these extra layers is to help in providing a snug and secure fit. They also heighten the visual aspect through angular designs.
The DynamotionFit technology involves thin, printed overlays and stretchy mesh.
