Weight is good. Durability is gonna be awesome. Price is a little high but that's what you have to live with.

The Mizuno Rebula 3 is the real deal. This is Mizuno’s ōgi, their final attack. It’s the distillation of Mizuno’s storied expertise and mastery of leather into one near-perfect boot. I’m going to go out on a limb here and call it the ultimate modern leather boot and THE boot to beat in 2019. In terms of (a padded) touch on the ball, lockdown, quality and durability, this blows everything else out of the water.

Nice touches, but Mizuno aren’t throwing in these extras to screen over an overpriced product. The Made In Japan edition is the showpiece of Mizuno’s esteemed craftsmanship that delivers touch, comfort and precision.

The Reubula 3 proves once again that Mizuno is king of the leather throne and everybody else is just pretenders to the throne. While not overly revolutionary, the updated technology and brilliance of the leather make the Rebula 3 the best modern leather boot on the market. If this boot signals the direction that Mizuno is taking this series in, then I very excited t see what they have coming for us next. It also means that Mizuno will continue to be king of leather boot mountain for the foreseeable future and it will take some doing for other companies to reach the peak. It is because of this that I recommend the Rebula 3 as the go-to boot for anyone considering a modern leather boot.

The Mizuno Rebula 3 Made in Japan soccer cleat is constructed with premium kangaroo leather that is handcrafted in Japan. As the material envelops the foot, it delivers a soft and comfortable feel while molding to the shape of the player’s foot. For a better ball touch, a 3D CT-Frame is also part of the shoe’s design. This upper composition is also designed to bring a barefoot feel for the player.

Additionally, instead of a traditional tongue, a stretchable mesh material wraps around the forefoot for lockdown. A non-stretchable diagonal piece also wraps around the midfoot through the heel area. A central closure system aids foot lockdown and fit customizability.

The material is well-known for its soft and comfortable feel. And since the material is highly moldable, this upper conforms to the shape of the wearer’s foot over time. A central lacing system that allows for fit customization as well. Doing away with the traditional tongue, this Mizuno model makes use of a stretchable material that wraps around the midfoot, creating a more stable feel.

The brand logo has not been forgotten either as it is peppered across the shoe. The upper holds a Mizuno logo situated in the forefoot area. Another logo is placed near the heel area while a bold ‘REBULA’ print is highly visible in the middle of the heel area, as well.

The outsole holds a total of thirteen studs. The forefoot contains a total of nine studs. The mix consists of round and oval cleats with the inner area holding a rotational stud pattern. Mizuno Rebula 3 Made in Japan ‘Tokyo Nights Pack’

The Tokyo Nights pack looks lethal with a black and red color selection. The majority of the cleat is enveloped in the inky hue spanning from the upper to the majority of the outsole. Breaking the monotony is a bloody red shade injected into some areas of the soleplate. Ther Mizuno logo manages to stand out, however, with a white outline. Being placed in the forefoot area aided its visibility. The Rebula brand is also printed on the heel area.

Mizuno Rebula 3 Made in Japan ‘Inazuma Pack’

The Inazuma pack of the Mizuno Rebula 3 Made in Japan soccer cleat makes use of a blue, white, and black colorway. The upper has a color-blocking effect with the majority of the forefoot and the vamp area drenched in white. The tongue through the heel areas, however, is colored in an ocean-like hue which incorporates a gradient effect as it reaches the soleplate.

In the forefoot, a bold black logo creates a beautiful contrast from its white background. This contrast is later replicated in the medial side of the shoe, with a white logo printed over a blue background. The heel area holds a REBULA print, as well.
