  • The boot’s Flexplate midsole is connected to the Hypercage and Boa closure to provide lightweight, foot-hugging support and protection. Its Vibram Megagrip outsole is engineered to give optimal traction on virtually all types of terrain.

Merrell Rove Mid Knit size and fit

This Merrell product is a mid-cut day hiking boot for men and women. The closure system uses the Boa Technology, which permits a customized fit to the wearer. Moreover, the boot’s woven upper hugs the foot like a sock. Lockdown is granted by the Flexplate midsole, Hypercage and Boa lacing.

Outsole

The Merrell Rove Mid Knit’s Vibram outsole renders traction, thanks to the lugs with a maximum depth of 4 mm. It’s made of a sturdy Megagrip compound that’s blended with TPU to withstand constant contact with various kinds of surfaces. The sole’s front section extends upward to provide protection against stubbing.

Midsole

The Rove Mid Knit uses a cushioning layer in the heel area for a shock-absorbing ride. It’s partnered with Flexplate, a midsole unit that’s connected to upper’s TPU frame for lateral support. The footgear’s anatomical footbed provides underfoot comfort.

Upper

The Merrell Rove Mid Knit features an interwoven 3D knit jacquard upper that wraps around the user’s foot. It’s designed to wick moisture away and enhance ventilation. The upper is reinforced by a TPU frame that works with other components. A rand wraps around the base to improve the upper’s robustness.

This lightweight hiker is equipped with the Boa Fit System. It uses a series of low-friction guides which holds the lightweight laces in their respective place. A micro-dial is found near the shoe’s collar to help adjust the fit. A pull tab is also placed in the heel section for an easy on and off.
