Good to know

Merrell Jungle Ayers Mocs are men’s shoes. The sizes offered for these range from 7 to 15 in medium width. According to many reviews, the sneakers feel tight and narrow, particularly at the bridge part near the tongues. They will stretch out a bit after a couple or so uses, but several still recommend going up at least a half size bigger.

The mocs have a slip-on construction that use elastic bands at the sides of the tongues to keep the feet securely inside. Arch support is ample, and the shoes feel well-cushioned.

These are the perfect laidback shoes when you just want to hang out yet look preppy cool while doing so. Pair with ripped blue jeans, black shirt, and a black, streamlined jacket with a Chinese collar for a bit of edgy vibe.

Beach outings may need these kicks worn with chino shorts and a short-sleeved collared shirt. A denim jacket on top would give a more pulled-together look.

Merrell Jungle Ayers Mocs come in black, canteen, and Castle Rock colorways.

Merrell Jungle Ayers Mocs are low maintenance kicks that are tough as nails. These shoes are made for the go-getter who’s always ready for the next adventure. But what sets the shoes apart, aside from their tough and comfortable build, is their vegan-friendly construction.

These kicks use 0% animal products. When you have these on your feet, you’ll feel good, look good, and have 100% confidence that no animal was harmed or distressed in the making of these shoes.

Over thirty years ago, if you were from Utah and wanted high-quality outdoor cleats, you went to a craftsman by the name of Randy Merrell. He crafted more comfortable and durable footwear than most and was so good at his work that he had a four-year customer waiting list.

A ski industry veteran named Clark Matis read a write-up about Merrell in a 1981 article. He convinced Randy to go into a partnership where they would mass-produce the cleats but still retain that quality that he was known for. After a bit of persuasion, Randy agreed, and The Merrell Cleat Company was born.

The Wilderness model was the brand’s first flagship cleat, and these shoes were so popular that almost everyone who hiked the trails wore these on their feet. The company was a success and became a byword for hikers across the U.S. and not just Utah.

In the late 90s, the brand decided to expand into the lifestyle market by introducing casual kicks that had trail features. It called these Jungle Moc shoes. Because the release was so successful, Merrell went full-blast into this new category.

Merrell now produces dozens of models of slip-ons, sneakers, and more for its casual market. The Jungle Ayers Moc shoes belong to the brand’s lifestyle department. The kicks have a low-profile construction made of soft canvas uppers and designed for all-day wear.

  • Merrell Jungle Ayers Mocs weigh at a low 340 grams for both shoes.
