- The outsole of the shoe utilizes the Vibram® TC5+ material. It provides durability and grip to help runners tackle moderate terrains with ease and confidence.

- The shoe also features the TrailProtect rock plate. Merrell added the rock plate to protect the foot against underfoot debris.

The Merrell Antora was constructed to be true to size. To achieve a more secure and enjoyable running experience, purchasers who love this trail running shoe are encouraged to use their usual sizing schemes. The semi-curved shape of this footwear is sure to mimic the natural shape of the foot.

When it comes to the width, the available profiles are B – Medium and D – Medium for women and men, respectively.

Like the Merrell Trail Glove 5, the Vibram® TC5+ is integrated into the outsole of the Merrell Antora. This material extends from the heel to the forefoot section.

Along with the Vibram® TC5+ are the adaptive lugs. This component of the shoe aims to keep the runner protected and stable when tackling a wide variety of terrains.

Used in the midsole of the shoe is the Q FORM™ 2 technology, a women-specific cushioning system designed to provide natural foot alignment. It also offers superior comfort throughout the run.

Along with the Q FORM™ 2 are the cushioning pods and compression-molded EVA midsole. The cushioning pods are placed in the forefoot and heel sections, providing the foot added comfort. The compression-molded EVA encourages a more stable ride while delivering better shock absorption.

The TrailProtect™ technology is also utilized in the making of the Merrell Antora. Placed between the outsole and midsole area, it acts as a barrier that shields and protects the foot against the hazardous nature of the trails, including sharp debris and irregular surfaces.

Long-lasting underfoot support is encouraged by the removable EVA footbed. It provides a comfort level that the user needs in traversing the trails.

In the upper of the Merrell Antora are the abrasion-resistant textile and TPU materials. These elements offer breathable coverage without compromising durability and structural integrity.

Along with these materials is the breathable mesh lining. This component of the footwear aims to deliver a more comfortable feel throughout the running session.

For added stability and enhanced heel fit, the shoe makes use of the Hyperlock™ synthetic heel counter. This lightweight element of the Merrell Antora secures the foot while running.

The shoe also features a traditional lace-up close. It comes with the webbing loops and sturdy fabric laces. Merrell added this feature to deliver a more secure fit.

Lastly, the interior area is treated with the M Select™ FRESH antimicrobial agents. This is essential in reducing and preventing shoe odor, keeping the foot fresh and healthy.
