Good to know
- Lowa introduced the Arco (also called Ledro) LL Mid as a footgear beefed up for multi-day backpacking trips. Its leather upper protects the foot. It’s also a comfort-focused boot through its leather lining.
- The Lowa Elika is the sole unit featured in this boot. It includes a PU midsole for durable cushioning and a rubber outsole profiled for optimal use outdoors.
A mid-cut backpacking boot that fairly runs true to size, the Lowa Arco LL Mid for men comes in standard width and regular sizes. It has a wider forefoot area to accommodate a broader range of foot types. The straightforward lacing closure of this footwear grants a snug fit.
Featuring the brand-patented Elika outsole, this boot for backpacking has a profile that renders grip on virtually all types of terrain. A pronounced heel edge allows braking during steep descents. Lowa can also replace the sole (resole) as necessary, for a cost.
The two-component polyurethane (PU) midsole of this crampon-ready backpacking boot makes each stride comfortable. This material has a high resistance against constant compression, yielding a long-lasting cushioning. The brand also incorporated a Medium Shank to provide support on longer hikes.
The leather-lined Arco LL Mid has a suede upper reinforced with toe and heel caps. It is constructed with minimal seams which creates a protective layer ready to tackle a variety of terrain. Its tongue and collar are padded to render comfort while the combination eyelets secure the foot. A pull tab is attached on the heel to facilitate donning and doffing.
- This boot is compatible with a flexible (strap-on binding) crampon.
- The low-top version of this product is the Arco LL Lo.
