The Way of Wade 6 is the best Wade model to date. Not only is it the best that the Wade line has to offer, but the shoe competes with most of the top-tier shoes offered from other brands that many U.S. consumers hold in high regard for no real reason other than really effective marketing.

Profile of the Li-Ning Way of Wade 6

Dwyane Wade’s Li-Ning Way of Wade 6 comes with a special midsole that features a combination of DriveFoam, CushioN, and CloudFoam for responsiveness. The breathable upper is made of knit. It comes with a midfoot strap for added security.

These Li-Ning basketball shoes were released in late 2017. This is Wade’s sixth signature shoe with the Chinese brand since he quit wearing basketball shoes from the Jordan brand in October 2012.

Performance

Cushion. The midsole of the Li-Ning Way of Wade 6 boasts three different types of cushioning materials. The forefoot features DriveFoam, which is basically made of polyurethane. It absorbs impact, maintains stability, and delivers court feel. The heel features the CushioN technology, which is highly responsive. The rest of the midsole boasts the lightweight and durable CloudFoam technology.

Traction. The outsole of the Li-Ning WoW 6 is made of solid rubber that features a modified Tetris-like traction pattern. Because the rubber is a bit of a dust magnet, giving it a quick wipe before using is recommended.

Fit

Length and Width. The Li-Ning Way of Wade 6 is true to  size according to the brand’s website. However, reviewers and wearers claim that it runs big, so going half a size down is recommended. As for wide-footers, they are advised to go with their true Li-Ning basketball shoe sizes. New buyers can always refer to the brand’s size chart.

Lockdown. To keep the foot in place, the Li-Ning Way of Wade 6 has the combined powers of a standard lace-up system and a midfoot strap. The Velcro strap is made of carbon fiber for durability. Because the toe area can be a little too spacious, reviewers suggest using an insole to achieve a better fit.

Material

The Li-Ning Way of Wade 6 has a full-length knit upper for breathability and flexibility. There are fuse overlays in high-wear areas. The ankle collar is thickly padded for a comfortable hug on the foot.

Style

The Li-Ning Way of Wade 6 is a low-top shoe that features a striped upper. As such, it can be paired with any type of casual and active wear, just as long as their colors jive.

It has a midfoot strap that locks on the medial side. At the base of this strap is a prominent Dwyane Wade logo. This logo also appears on top of the tongue and its underside. At the base of the tongue, a ‘WADE’ callout can be found.
