Updates to Keen Saltzman WP
- The Keen Saltzman WP is a light hiker that’s ready for the trail whether its sunny or pouring outside. It is both waterproof and breathable, thanks to the materials and technologies used in the upper.
- Arch support and cushioning are granted by the metatomical EVA footbed and polyurethane midsole. On the other hand, surface traction is delivered by a rubber outsole.
Keen Saltzman WP size and fit
A men’s-only day hiking shoe, the Saltzman WP comes in regular sizes and standard width. The brand recommends getting a half size bigger than the usual to get the best fit as this pair runs small. Its traditional lace-up closure can be used to customize the fit.
Enabling this hiking shoe to grip on various terrain is a solid rubber outsole. Its aggressive lugs grant ground stability on bumpy grounds. The space in between the cleats shed off stuck debris to prevent slips. Additionally, it is equipped with Keen.Protect which acts as a toe bumper, shielding the foot against accidental bumps.
The Keen Saltzman WP features a polyurethane (PU) midsole for durable cushioning and compression resistance. It houses a nylon shank for support and underfoot rigidity. To provide arch support, it comes with a metatomical dual-density EVA footbed. It follows the contours of the foot for a natural and comfortable ride.
This low-cut day hiking shoe has a mesh upper to offer optimal trail comfort. It is lined with the proprietary Keen.Dry, a waterproof barrier that prevents water intrusions. It also promotes breathability. Overlays on the entire base of the upper amplify protection and abrasion resistance.
Its contoured heel lock is connected to the lacing system which helps prevent heel slippage. Its lace-up closure mixes metal eyelets and fabric loops for fit management. Donning and doffing the shoe is made easier through the handy pull tabs at the heel and top of the tongue.
- The women's version of this shoe has been discontinued.
