This version of the KEEN Newport is designed to provide optimal grip on wet, slick surfaces. Its water-repellent upper is lined with a quick-dry lining to maintain its performance even after submerging in water.

The midsole and metatomical footbed of the KEEN Newport Hydro are both made of EVA to provide cushioning without the extra weight. Its rubber outsole, on the other hand, is razor-siped to optimize surface traction.

This hiking sandal from KEEN caters to male and female outdoor hikers. It is offered in standard width only and is manufactured in regular sizes. Generally, it runs true to size. With its one-pull tightening system, fit customization is made possible while keeping the desired tension in place.

The Newport Hydro from KEEN features a non-marking rubber outsole which makes it suitable for use whether indoors or outdoors. Its lugs are razor siped to enhance its grip on wet surfaces. The toe area is wrapped by the brand-owned KEEN.Protect which safeguards the forefoot against accidental bumps.

KEEN’s Newport Hydro comes with a compression-molded EVA midsole. It is a lightweight rubber-like material which renders cushioning. It houses an ESS nylon shank to provide the needed firmness and support, preventing unwanted twisting of the foot. A metatomical molded EVA footbed sits atop this unit to give arch support. The Cleansport NXT antimicrobial treatment maintains an odor-free environment and fresh in-shoe feel.

This KEEN multi-sport sandal wears a polyester webbing upper. It is coated with a PFC-free durable water repellent (DWR) finish which makes it hydrophobic. Underneath its straps is a quick-dry lining which enhances comfort.

The brand’s Secure Fit Lace Capture system is for managing the fit. It includes a plastic lock and an elastic cord which passes through a series of loops. There are heel and tongue pull tabs, making on and off more convenient.

-The main differences of this model and KEEN Newport H2 are the upper and support component. The H2 version isn’t DWR treated. And instead of an ESS shank, it has a TPU shank.
