Keen Howser II History

The Keen company was established by Martin Keen in 2003 in Alameda, California. Born out of an idea of making a toe-protecting sandal, the Keen company has grown quickly into a giant footwear and accessories business with sales hitting $140 million in just six years after first opening its doors.

The brand has since delved into manufacturing, not just sandals, but work boots and lifestyle shoes too. The Howser II comes from their lifestyle collection. It is an updated version of the original Howser which, according to the company description, provides “sleeping-bag-like warmth to the feet.” The design has remained mostly the same as well as the specifications except for the Cleansport NXT tech feature that has been added to the footbed for natural odor control.

Keen Howser II Style

You’d never guess these sneakers double as house shoes. They have a cool vibe that looks ready to take on the urban landscape. The shoes are best when paired with casual clothing such as shorts, leggings, or jeans. Dark colorways of these sneakers could pass for casual Fridays at work and can be worn with your chinos.

Fit & Sizing

The Keen Howser II can be enjoyed by both sexes. There are men’s and women’s versions available for this silhouette. Women’s sizes range from 5 to 11 while the men’s version is offered in sizes ranging from 7 to 15. Hal sizes are available for both. The shoes do not use laces but instead utilize an elastic gore panel for a snug fit. The measurement runs small by a half size, so customers need to remember to size up.

Notable Features

These toasty warm sneakers will keep your feet cozy throughout the winter season. The Keen Howser II shoes have water-resistant nylon uppers with microfleece linings to give plenty of warmth even with the bitter and biting cold weather. It has rubber outsoles with superior grip to prevent slips even on the icy ground so you can wear these outside when going shopping or walking your dog. Keen.cush PU footbeds with Cleansport NXT tech provides excellent cushioning while keeping foot odor under control.
