Good to know

A re-release of the 2005 Jordan Big Fund, this basketball shoe model brings a traditional aesthetic to the courts. For comfort and durability, nubuck leather is used in the upper’s construction while a combination of Phylon and Nike Air is used for cushioning. Traction and grip are also well taken care of by the combination of zigzag and circular lines used on its tread pattern.

Cushion. For its midsole, a reliable Phylon material is used. Common in a variety of footwear types, this material is created out of EVA foam pellets that are expanded by heat and then molded together. This innovative material affords players a lightweight and highly responsive feel.

The heel area, for its part, contributes to the shoe’s lightweight cushioning through a Nike Air element, which has high impact absorption capabilities; it quickly bounces back to its original shape after each step.

Traction. The rubber-based outsole delivers reliable traction and grip on indoor courts. The traction pattern features a variety of shapes including a combination of zigzags and ovals.

Length and Width. The Jordan Big Fund basketball shoe comes in the standard width and length. There have not been any sizing issues reported.

Lockdown. A traditional lacing system found at the center of this Jordan basketball shoe model delivers a secure foot lockdown. A lace guard placed in the middle of the tongue area creates more stability for the player.

Nubuck leather that is produced from calfskin or cowhide brings durability and comfort to the Jordan Big Fund. Comparable to the velvety feel of suede, the material is considered a top-grain leather that brings breathability for players.

The lateral side of the model sports the well-known Jumpman logo.  The heel area carries the famous number ‘23.’ Additionally, printed on the top of the tongue area is the word ‘Jordan.’

With all the essential elements of truly classic basketball shoe, the Jordan Big Fund is as wearable in the courts as well as out of it. Indeed, it looks with a basketball uniform; but it also goes well with some casual shorts, a tee topped with a jacket. With the neutral colorways that this model is available in, it would not hurt to pair it with a flashy piece of clothing to balance things out.

The Jordan Big Fund basketball shoe is available in several colorways including:

  • Black/Metallic Silver/White/University Red/Light Smoke Grey
  • White/Infrared/Black/Light Smoke Grey
  • White/Metallic Silver/Black/Universal Red/Light Smoke Grey
  • White/Metallic Silver/Green Bean

Jordan Big Fund Viz RST

Sporting a sleeker silhouette than its past iterations, the Jordan Big Fund Viz RST brings a slew of new colorways for the model’s fans. Released in 2012, color combinations from this shoe include:

  • Black/Cool Grey–White–Club Purple
  • White/Neutral Grey–Military Blue
  • White/Wolf Grey–Metallic Silver
