Beginner and recreational players focused on taking their play to the next level are treated to the revamped all-court marvel, the Asics Gel Dedicate 6.

Underfoot cushioning is the highlight of this 6th generation Gel Dedicate. It’s designed to deliver comfort even during prolonged rallies. Apart from utilizing the standard EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam, this footgear is created with the Gel technology. Such proponent offers shock absorption and responsive ride during repetitive training and tourneys.

Taking up the entire expanse is a noteworthy type of rubber that’s devised to hold up well on varying court conditions. Like most of the all-court tennis trainers by Asics, this profile is made with a modified herringbone tread pattern for improved traction, be it on clay or hard court.

Support. Despite its lightweight structure, this cushioned tennis trainer doesn’t fall short in offering lateral stability. Connecting the forefoot and rearfoot is a midfoot chassis called Trusstic System. It inhibits foot rotation even at top speed. This piece of technology is crafted to keep the foot planted on the ground during sudden stops. It doesn’t only grant support but protection against foot distress.

Cushioning. The leading attributes that allow this shoe to deliver comfort even during long rallies are the Gel tech and EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam. The decades-old Gel innovation by Asics is present in the forefoot and rearfoot. These soft silicone-produced cushioning devices receive and soften the blows every time the foot lands on the ground.

Complementing this spec is the EVA-composed foam and sockliner. These materials are meant to transport added underfoot support and impact protection. The sockliner molds to the contours of the foot. It is interchangeable to accommodate custom orthotics.

The enhanced aesthetic of the Asics Gel Dedicate 6.0 is due to the combination of textile, mesh, and synthetics. The mesh detailing is affixed on the outer membrane to allow the shoe to breathe throughout the heated drills and matches. The synthetic overlay is meant to impart stability. A fabric lining is added for step-in comfort.

Both the Gel Dedicate 6 and the Gel Game 7 belong to the all-court offering of Asics, which are suitable for newbie tennis players.

Upper. The outer shell of the Gel Game 7 is crafted with a fusion of synthetics and mesh for breathability. On the other hand, the Gel Dedicate 6 is dependent on the synthetic overlay for improved support and stability.

Midsole. The cushioning components of both trainers are supported by the EVA foam and Gel technology. However, these designs vary in the sockliner composition. The insole assigned to the Gel Dedicate 6 is made of EVA for reliable cushioning. On the contrary, the sockliner for the Gel Game 7 is composed of the moisture-wicking Ortholite for comfort.

Stability. The Gel Dedicate 6 offers added stability with the use of the Trusstic System technology. The Gel Game 7 grants a more streamlined feel with its low-to-the-ground sole.

  • Asics Gel Dedicate 6 also comes in clay and indoor versions
  • An inscription on the outsole that says “ne marque pas”. It means that the outsole is non-marking.
