Who is it for? This updated style of the Gel Court Speed is formulated to benefit the mid-level and advanced tennis players. Its design is apt for dynamic movers in need of a speedy court shoe that has the right blend of flexibility and stability in a comfy and lightweight package.

What is it good for?

  • The modified herringbone outsole that promotes steadiness is fit for soft and hard court surfaces.
  • Packed with a supportive shank for stable lateral movements, this shoe is equipped for extensive court drills and during match days.

Upgraded cover. The combination of synthetic and mesh is a step up from the upper arrangement done on the outgoing Gel Court Speed model. Asics applied a seamless method in fusing synthetics across the top to minimize friction that’s usually caused by stitches. Its mesh design is stretched at a broader area to enhance breathability.

Improved cushioning. Asics replaced SpEVA, a special kind of cushioning foam, with a lighter and responsive one called FlyteFoam

The non-marking outsole is reinforced in high-wear areas to improve durability. Like other high-performance tennis shoes by Asics, Court Speed FF is assembled with the AHARPlus. Such a high-abrasion rubber compound is devised to be 50% more serviceable than the standard-type outsole compositions.

It features a reformulated herringbone tread pattern so it can grip well on any court surface.

Lightness. To further reduce the overall weight of the shoe without sacrificing on its performance level, Asics equipped this all-court trainer with another patented midsole technology called FlyteFoam. This type of foam is lighter than the Solyte sponge used in other top-notch Asics court shoes, such as the Gel Resolution 7.

Responsiveness. Such foam compound is composed of heavy-duty fibers with the ability to spring back than remaining compressed like what some low-density foams tend to offer.

This responsive underfoot padding is complemented by the Asics Gel cushioning placed at the forefoot. Together, these materials weaken shock during impact phases.

Stability. Asics’ Trusstic System is added under the midfoot to help retain the structural integrity of this speed-oriented footgear. Such a midfoot shank prevents unnecessary torsional twisting. Asics have also applied this type of underfoot cushioning to its hard court shoes like the Asics Solution Speed FF

Mobility and ventilation. The external membrane is built with the fusion of synthetic and mesh materials that together promote better movement. Ventilation is improved as it permits air to circulate in and out of the shoe.

Supportive fit. Explosive moves and quick cuts are taken into account when this shoe was designed with the Flexion Fit technology, form-fitting engineering used in the assembly of the upper.

Toe reinforcement. The toe area is safeguarded by the PGuard toe protector. Such an augmented rubber layer prevents the tip of the shoe from getting worn out through repeated toe dragging.

Asics Court Speed FF LE “Modern Tokyo”

Wrapped in mint tint and white, the Asics Court Speed limited edition model called “Modern Tokyo” is a reflection of the brand’s progression to contemporary times. One can recall that Asics is one of the brands that was born through many decades of engineering pursuits. Just like other Asics Court FF shoes, this variation promotes heightened support, improved flexibility, while remaining light and fast.
