The outsole is completely redesigned, as you would expect and uses 2 different compounds, in this shoe, black and pink to offer grip where required.

There’s a solidly responsive feel to the ride with the ROADCLAW 275, and the tech you would expect from their trail shoes – such as the Dynamic Fascia Band for increased energy return – is all present and correct.

Delivering a shoe that can perform, protect, provide comfort and not feel like a lead weight is a challenge, and it’s a challenge they have won with flying colours. Just give me more colour options!

I also ran the Kearsney Half Marathon in this shoe and the hard, dirt road, climb up to the top of Alverstone was no issue in these shoes as it was for many in slick, traditionally soled road shoes.

  • 84 / 100 by Northern Runner • Iain Singer • Level 1 expert

Good training shoe for all conditions.  Big plus points are the wide roomy toe box and the very grippy sole.
