The outsole is completely redesigned, as you would expect and uses 2 different compounds, in this shoe, black and pink to offer grip where required.
There’s a solidly responsive feel to the ride with the ROADCLAW 275, and the tech you would expect from their trail shoes – such as the Dynamic Fascia Band for increased energy return – is all present and correct.
Delivering a shoe that can perform, protect, provide comfort and not feel like a lead weight is a challenge, and it’s a challenge they have won with flying colours. Just give me more colour options!
I also ran the Kearsney Half Marathon in this shoe and the hard, dirt road, climb up to the top of Alverstone was no issue in these shoes as it was for many in slick, traditionally soled road shoes.
Good training shoe for all conditions. Big plus points are the wide roomy toe box and the very grippy sole.
Inov-8's Tri C outsole utilizes 3 different types of rubber compounds to optimize weight and performance.
- The Invo-8 Roadclaw 275 comes with an enhanced midsole unit to effortlessly run on any road condition. It features the PowerFlow midsole technology that delivers better shock absorption and enhanced energy return. It promotes a smoother ride.
- This shoe also features the Tri-C outsole technology, an iconic Inov-8 outsole that delivers impressive grip and durability while running on the road. The claw-cleat lug design gives necessary grip on different road surfaces.
The Roadclaw 275 is true to its size. It gives a standard and comfortable fit in the heel and midfoot area. The toe box is wide enough to encourage toe splay. The shoe is available in standard running shoe width.
The outsole of the Roadclaw 275 features the sticky fusion compound. It is a mixture EVA foam and synthetic rubber that delivers reliable grip on the road and it also promotes a smooth ride. The meta-flex grooves in the forefoot encourage natural flex for a more resilient toe-off. The terradapter heel delivers added protection and durability.
The shoe features the PowerFlow midsole technology that is specifically designed to deliver an enhanced cushioning. It has 10% better shock absorption and 15% enhanced energy rebound. This material is also used in the new Roadclaw 275 v2 running shoe.
The 2 Arrow Shoc-Zone delivers moderate underfoot protection and cushioning. It also uses the dynamic Fascia Band that acts as a lever arm in the heel and forefoot. It enhances runner’s performance by propelling the runner forward.
The upper of the Inov-8 Roadclaw 275 features the synthetic upper mesh cover that delivers a breathable coverage. It keeps the foot well-ventilated. It is also lightweight and prevents debris from entering the shoe while running.
