Good to know

The Giro Apeckx II is one of the many road cycling shoes offered by the brand. This model has incorporated innovative use of materials and structural techniques from higher-end Giro models. It features a welded mesh upper with a rigid nylon sole. This combination offers a lightweight, breathable fit with good power transfer.

The perfect balance of stiffness and comfort. Constructed from DuPont Zytel nylon, the shoe is stiff enough to ensure efficient power transfer and comfort for off-bike use. This sole technology provides high strength as well as abrasion and impact resistance.

The Apeckx II employs a universal cleat design. This means that the shoe can accommodate both 2- and 3-bolt cleat pedals. Try it with the following pedal designs: Shimano 6800 Ultegra, Shimano 105 PD-5800, Look Keo, Time ATAC, and many more.

Prevents hotspots and irritation. The welded and bonded one-piece upper is designed to be supple yet durable. The reduced number of seams prevents friction and blistering.

Comfortable and secure fit. This pair’s closure system consists of 2 hook-and-loop straps that go in tandem with a ratcheting top buckle. The middle strap essentially turns itself into an extension of the upper’s midfoot section. It helps eliminate pressure on the foot’s metatarsal bones. The bottom strap secures the fit around the toes. Lastly, the adjustable N-1 buckle’s 3mm increments and quick release secure the top of the foot.

Replaceable buckle. The buckle is designed to be replaceable, which adds to the shoe’s lifespan.

The Giro Apeckx II is a unisex shoe that’s exclusively available in men’s sizes. The shoe’s mostly seamless upper design works in conjunction with the ratchet-and-velcro closure to prevent pressure points irritation. A reinforced heel area provides a stable and lockdown fit. Lastly, apart from a cushioned insole, the padded collar provides in-step comfort.

Anti-microbial cushioned insole. This shoe features a molded EVA footbed with medium arch support for an excellent fit. It is also equipped with the Aegis anti-microbial treatment to keep shoes feeling and smelling fresh.

  • Brandings are seen on the shoe’s lateral side of the upper and outsole.
  • Perforation holes are placed on the tongue for enhanced ventilation.
