The Garmont Rambler GTX is a mid-cut boot that’s built for backpacking and mixed mountaineering. It is recommended for:
- individuals who want a speed lacing closure system for quick fit adjustment when outdoors.

Garmont employs the sticky Vibram New Winkler sole for Rambler GTX
Garmont’s Rambler GTX is equipped with a Vibram New Winkler outsole. It has a pattern of multidirectional chevron lugs which renders grip on wet and dry surfaces.
The outsole’s surface is filled with self-cleaning drainage channels which shed dirt and debris for optimal traction. A heel brake is incorporated into the outsole’s design for improved control in downhill conditions.
Rambler GTX’s cushy midsole
The Rambler GTX has a microporous rubber midsole which grants cushioning and flexibility. It’s partnered with an expanded PU heel insert to create a stabilized ride.
A bi-injected dual density nylon insole is placed on top of these components for underfoot protection. The boot’s Alveolen footbed completes the midsole component by providing arch support and underfoot comfort.
Garmont’s Rambler GTX has a scuff-resistant upper
The Garmont Rambler GTX features a 1.8mm suede leather and Cordura nylon upper. These materials make the boot sturdy and resistant to abrasions.
The upper is lined with a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort which grants water protection and breathability.
Its PU-coated toe cap improves the gear’s robustness and creates scuff resistance.
The boot’s closure system uses a series of metal hooks and eyelets to keep the laces secured and organized. It’s connected to a heel lock at the back of the upper to prevent heel slip during a trek.
The tongue and collar are made of Cordura nylon to promote comfort.
A pull tab is positioned on the back of the collar to facilitate an easy on and off.
