- Designers from Asolo added a mid-cut footgear to their hiking collection: the Asolo Nucleon Mid GV. It’s ideal for summer to winter hikes.
- This lightweight boot has an upper made of leather and Schoeller fabric. A Gore-Tex laminate and rubber toe cap are also added to enhance protection and comfort.
- The Synthesis sole is part of the brand’s A-Fast technology. It features a midsole and an outsole that act as a unit. The mono-density EVA midsole on top of a Vibram/Asolo outsole renders a cushioned and supportive stride. The sole uses the abrasion-resistant Megagrip compound for traction on wet and dry grounds.
A hiking boot for men and women, the Asolo Nucleon Mid GV relatively runs true to size. Both versions are offered in standard width and regular sizes. A classic lace-up closure grants a snug fit.
The Synthesis outsole, powered by the Megagrip compound, enables this mid-cut day hiking boot to grip on most types of terrain. Its tread profile includes a wider contact area on the toe and heel for assistance on ascents and descents. Its strategically laid out lugs facilitate removal of debris for an enhanced grip on grounds.
The midsole of the Nucleon Mid GV is a high-density molded EVA. This lightweight foam offers long-lasting cushioning. It works with an anatomic footbed, the Lite 2 plus, for enhanced comfort and stability on trails.
Asolo designers combined a water-resistant suede leather (1.6 - 1.8 mm) and a Schoeller Soft Shell fabric in the upper of the Nucleon Mid GV. It also has a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort lining. Together, these materials yield breathability, waterproofing and protection from the outdoors. It has a rubber toe cap for defense against bumps, a heel cradle for stability and pull loop for easy on and off. Its lacing system uses metal hooks at the top, a webbing near the ankle and punched eyelets to the toes.
- The low-top version of this boot is the Asolo Nucleon GV.
