The Stabil X Mid is made for players looking for more ankle hold in their volleyball trainers. The upper is constructed with a tough material that keeps the foot adequately contained and supported. Its full-length rubber outsole provides exceptional grip on the court while the Boost midsole energizes each step.
Compared to the Adidas Stabil X, which is a low-top volleyball shoe, the Stabil X Mid has a more defined collar. The mid-top version features a higher cut lined with plush foam. The higher collar enhances comfort and ankle support. As for the rest of the technologies, these two models share the same rubber outsole, midsole foam, upper materials, and design.
Traction. The Adidas Stabil X Mid employs a textured rubber outsole. This layer is engineered to be grippy on indoor surfaces, preventing slippage even with agile movements.
Movement. This material is pliable, so it doesn’t hinder foot flexibility. It also has a technical grid structure which aids in multi-directional grip and steadiness during sudden changes in direction.
Energized performance. This pair is equipped with the Adidas Boost. This midsole foam technology is designed to deliver responsive cushioning — the shock from each step is transformed into energy for movement.
Reliable coverage. The top of the Adidas Stabil X Mid uses a sharkskin material. This component is abrasion-resistant so that the upper doesn’t quickly deteriorate with regular use. It is also efficient in holding its shape, thereby providing full coverage and support even with quick movements.
Comfort. The interior of the upper is lined with a soft cloth. It prevents chafing and blisters, keeping the athlete going no matter how intense the situation gets.
Mesh fabric is also used in some parts of the top. This aids in aerating the foot chamber, so the feet don’t sweat excessively or get too hot while playing.
Lockdown. The bootie construction with foamed collar prevents the heel from slipping out during games. Meanwhile, there’s an inner cage at the midfoot, enhancing support in this area.
A lace-up closure securely locks the foot inside this pair of volleyball shoes from Adidas. It integrates with an external cage made of plastic that amplifies foothold and heel lockdown when the shoelaces are tightened.
