The Fizik Terra X5 is constructed to be relatively lightweight and is equipped with mountain cycling-specific features. Ready to tackle the most demanding trails, this shoe sports a laser-perforated upper that’s either crafted from Microtex or Suede for durability and breathability.

It is an off-road shoe engineered to perform and withstand rough trails. From gravel roads and singletrack and everything in between, this pair is recommended to mountain bikers who want a lightweight upgrade.

Competent power transfer. The Terra X5 employs a Composite Carbon Fiber outsole. This outsole structure provides a lightweight and reasonable stiffness, which allows the rider to save energy. It also offers excellent support while on the bike for comfort during long rides.

Pronounced traction and walkable design. The sole features large PU-bonded rubber pieces for excellent grip. These rubber pads are placed from front to back, creating sturdy support. These pads are also pronounced enough to make walking easier.

The Fizik Terra X5 is compatible with two-bolt cleats. It is suitable for mountain bike pedals such as Shimano SPD Double-sided, DMR V-Twin, Nukeproof Horizon CS, Sixpack Vertic, and Shimano Saint PD-M820.

Lightweight and breathable upper. Whether you go for the Microtex or Suede upper, this shoe offers a relatively lighter and more breathable fit than the typical mountain bike shoe.

Easy and quick precision fit. This shoe’s closure employs the combination of BOA L6 Dial and micro-velcro strap. The strap keeps the forefoot secure while the asymmetrical design of the BOA keeps the midfoot and upper foot locked down. The BOA technology used in this shoe features a steel-coated nylon lace that goes through light plastic guides called “Slipstream.” This optimum fit ultimately means comfort and performance.

Convenient heel loop design detail. The reinforced, woven heel loop is provided. It can be used for carrying and hanging to store it or dry it.

Stylish design. This model’s streamlined upper exudes a classic aesthetic and versatile style that would look good with a myriad of cycling outfits.

Two options for the upper material. The Terra X5 is offered in Microtex or Suede materials. The Microtex version promises to keep its shape for a long time despite repeated wetting and drying. The stiffer construct of this material also offers a bit of protection from debris.

The Suede version comes at a slightly higher price than the Microtex option. This material claims improved abrasion-resistance than the Microtex. It also offers good water resistance and better fit and breathability due to its natural disposition.

The Terra X5 by Fizik is a unisex model that’s solely offered in men’s sizing. This model is offered in two upper material options: Microtex and Suede. This difference in materials may provide varying fit and breathability.

This model features the brand’s signature Fizik cycling insole. It is cushioned and molded after the natural shape of the foot for a comfortable fit.

  • Perforation holes are placed in both the lateral and medial sides of the upper and the tongue for excellent breathability.
  • Cushioned collars keep the ankle area comfortable and prevent rubbing that causes blisters.
  • Branding can be seen on the lateral and rear parts of the upper.
  • Colorway options include black/black, black/red, dark blue/brick red, grey/yellow fluo, and military green/tangy green.
