Evolv Skyhawk notable features

-The Evolv Skyhawk is engineered as an all-around performer, catering to users of all skill levels. Its unlined upper comes imbued with Agion’s antimicrobial technology, making the shoe sufficiently capable of managing odor.

-It is engineered with Molded VTR or Variable Thickness Rand. This Evolv-exclusive randing tech not only improves the shoe’s protective capability, but it also reduces hotspots and pressure points.

Downturn. The Skyhawk virtually has no down-camber, making it a neutral rock climbing shoe. This kind of profile grants wearers extended comfort with as much support as possible. As such, it is ideal for projects comprising of multiple pitches.

Applications. This beginner-to-advanced Evolv offering is intended for both sport and trad climbing. It is also a bouldering shoe that promises a well-rounded kind of performance. Climbers may use it both indoors and outdoors.

The Evolv Skyhawk is a low-top climbing shoe for women. Its lower-volume interior is ideal for narrow-footed climbers. The shoe’s unlined upper is designed to conform to the contours of the wearer’s foot. Having a neutral and straight shape, the shoe grants a comfort fit. Finally, a customized fit is made possible by the Skyhawk’s lace-up closure.

The brand allows for per-shoe sizing at an additional cost. This can be done when ordering from the official online store.

Midsole. A full-length midsole called MX-P is the component responsible for supporting the foot in the Evolv Skyhawk. Its 1.4-mm thick construction offers sufficient sensitivity underfoot.

Outsole. Thanks to the Skyhawk’s Trax-SAS outsole, climbers can mount on a variety of surfaces (whether indoors or outdoors) with enough adhesive power and security. It is a rubberized component having a thickness of 4.2 mm.

This trad climbing shoe from Evolv has a leather upper reinforced with stitched-on synthetic overlays for extra abrasion protection. As the shoe does not come with a liner, it gives users improved upper sensitivity. It is covered with a heavy-duty rubber rand, the toe zone of which is made thicker so that wearers can pull off forefoot maneuvers with improved performance and protection. Its designers gave it a split tongue and a pair of heel pull tabs to help climbers get in and out of it with relative ease.

Completing the Skyhawk’s upper is its lockdown system. It uses a synthetic lace set through a series of tunnel-like lace loops.
