Fit & Sizing

The Etnies Scout TX is a shoe for both men and women. Men can get it from sizes 5 to 14 in D Standard width, while the ladies have options from 5 to 11 in B Standard width. Both sizes allow half sizing as well. This light shoe has a low-cut profile that permits ankle mobility and its lace-up closure is accompanied by a lycra expanded tongue straps for a snug, sock-like, and secure fit. Overall hold and support are excellent.

Etnies Scout XT Style

Gone are the days when skate-inspired sneakers flaunt a bulky profile, and the Etnies Scout XT is one proof of that. Built for off the board activities, the Etnies Scout XT is constructed with a low-top silhouette, varying upper materials of light and breathable nature, and minimally designed exterior with muted reinforcements that, all in all, collectively bring about the shoe's versatile style. Moreover, lots of colorways are up for grabs for both men and women.

Notable Features

After many attempts of producing a shoe that would, at least, be at par with the success of Etnies’ skate shoe Scout, the brand upgraded the silhouette in the form of the Etnies Scout XT.

This upgraded version of the Scout shoe model is designed with added features that improve not only the shoe’s aesthetic but also its performance. It has a new Memory Foam insoles for enhanced pillow-like comfort and reinforced heel and quarter panels for added support and stability. The tongue also received an upgrade with spandex internal tongue straps.

Etnies Scout XT History

Pierre André Sénizergues took over it in 1989 soon after his career in the sport ended, making it the first skate shoe company owned by a professional skateboarder.

One of the brand’s most popular skate shoe is the Etnies Scout, which is known for its light weight, breathability, and all-day comfort. The Scout is equipped with the brand’s STI Evolution Foam technology that makes it more durable, resistant to abrasions, and with a high-impact rebound cushioning, a thin mesh upper for breathable and moisture wicking fit, and an Ortholite insole for cushioned comfort. It also features a Rap Bar and an elastic heel band for enhanced support. It debuted in August 2013 at Active Ride Shop and other retail shops across Europe and the US as part of the STI Evolution Foam Collection, and the brand's Buy a Shoe Plant a Tree project.

In 2016, the Etnies Scout evolved into the Etnies Scout XT. An upgraded model of one of the crowd's favorite Etnies skate shoes, the Scout XT boasts additional features such as Memory Foam insoles, spandex internal tongue straps for a secure fit, and muted reinforcements on the heel and quarter panels for enhanced stability and support.

Additional Info

  • The Etnies Scout XT’s upper materials vary from faux leather to mesh.
  • The midsole and outsole are made of exposed STI Evolution Foam technology.
  • On the heel, side panels, and tongue are different Etnies brandings.
