Extremely popular sneakers because of their price range, versatility when it comes to style, and freedom of movement. Almost everyone is guaranteed to have low-top sneakers in their shoe rotation.
Mid-top sneakers extend toward the ankle for a little more support and hold. These lie somewhere in the middle between low-top and high-top sneakers in terms of usage and popularity.
Sneakers with collars that go above the ankles for optimal hold and support are some of the most sought-after models in lifestyle shoes. Most of these shoes take their roots from basketball and have easily or fashionably crossed to mainstream wear.

Etnies Jameson 2 Eco History
The Etnies brand was launched in 1986 and was an emerging European brand focused on skating footwear. When pro skateboarder Pierre André Sénizergues signed on as a designer and later on as owner and CEO, the brand was introduced to the US market and subsequently, became based in Lake Forest, California. Now a subsidiary of the Sole Technology Inc., Etnies is a major force to reckon with within skating circles and even without.
Their Jameson silhouette is one of their best-selling ones. This silhouette has spawned several iterations including the Jameson XT (shoes with a hidden flow molded toecaps), Jameson SL (comes with a faux vulcanized cupsole), Jameson MT (a mid-top version of the XL), Jameson HT (high-top iteration), Jameson Vulc (a vulcanized version), and the Jameson 2 Eco (an eco-friendly version with a fundamental cupsole).
Etnies Jameson 2 Eco Style
Not only is the Etnies Jameson 2 Eco versatile in performance, but it’s also quite versatile in style as well. You can wear these kicks dressed up or down with either shorts, jeans, or smart chinos. If you want to go for a laidback look, pair these up with a sweater and chinos. You can also do wear these sneakers with a dark-hued polo shirt and pants for friendly Sunday gatherings. Lazy days require only shorts or jeans paired with your favorite tee and these kicks.
Fit & Sizing
The Etnies Jameson 2 Eco is a men’s silhouette. The sizes offered for this model range from 5 to 15. The sizes run small according to several previous buyers, so future ones are recommended to get them in a larger size. The material for the uppers are canvas, but the fabric used has some rigidity to it that provides slightly more support than other ordinary canvas shoes.
The soles are flat, and there is minimal arch support. Regular laces provide an adjustable fit.
It isn’t every day where you get to see stylish kicks that are eco-friendly as well. These kicks are remarkable for using recycled plastic and rubber materials for the rubber outsoles and PU foam insoles. The brand also plants a tree for every shoe purchase which is an awesome way of giving back to Mother Nature. Canvas uppers make sure that this shoe is completely animal-friendly too.
- The Etnies Jameson 2 Eco features faux vulc cupsoles, STI Foam Lite 1 insoles, and textile fabric linings. The outsoles use durable 400 NBS rubber, and internal EVA midsoles provide enhanced cushioning.
- The Jameson 2 Eco weighs approximately 368.5 grams per shoe.
