  • The Puma Defy Varsity is a training shoe that is crafted with a one-of-a-kind design which balances both style and function. It is part of Puma’s collection of stylish yet high-performance athletic trainers for the ladies. It is the little sister of the Puma Defy but it has its own distinct qualities that set this current version apart.
  • It has a more loosely knitted upper than the previous iterations for better breathability and flexibility. It also has a low-cut profile for ankle mobility.
  • It has retained several signature features of the line, such as the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) pieces on the sides, the elevated Rebound foam midsole, the ridged and zigzag-patterned outrigger, and the Puma Formstrip overlay.

The Puma Defy Varsity is a model that has been engineered to fit the feet of women. It generally follows the standard US training footwear sizing, ranging from 5.5 to 9.5. It comes in the standard width profile, B - Medium.

The outsole of the Puma Defy Varsity is marked with traction points to facilitate multidirectional movements. With the crossed and dotted tread pattern, it prevents slippage and missteps during fast cuts and dynamic movements.

This Puma trainer has an elevated platform for increased protection of the foot against impact. It employs the Rebound foam, which intends to provide responsiveness that gives an extra spring to the foot for additional drive and propulsion.

The Puma Defy Varsity has an upper made of a loosely knitted fabric all over for comfort, ventilation, and freedom of movement. It is meant to lend a minimalist look to the footwear.

Rigid TPU pieces are strategically installed on the lateral sections. They boost support to bar unintentional wobbling during side-to-side motions.

The midfoot and heel areas are wrapped in the proprietary Puma Formstrip overlay. It reinforces these parts to steady the foot.

The closure that secures the foot is a traditional lacing system. It also enhances lateral support as it fortifies the sides when the laces are pulled taut.

A pull tab is attached to the apex of the trainer. It makes slipping on the footgear easier, especially since it has a cleatie-like construction.
