It's responsive, it performs the part, it's soft, it's comfortable, the traction is very good. It's lightweight. It's a solid pair of football boots, but I can't say it's a step forward, it's moreso a step sideways.
So while the Legend 8 isn't what I thought, and would have liked it to be. It's a great boo that's really hard to hate which also throws itself even deeper into the fierce competition of boots and want to do it all.
While the upper received a total upgrade, the Tiempo 8 uses the same Hyperstability soleplate as the Tiempo 7. And for good reason, it’s the perfect combination of stability and multi-directional traction on firm ground fields.
As massive fans of this silo throughout its lifetime, we’re conflicted about the Tiempo VIII. Is it a quality boot that would be a worthwhile option for anyone heading into a new season. The touch is crisp and clean, the fit is incredible, and the comfort is top-notch…but, there is just something about the Tiempo VIII that doesn’t have us finding the nearest rooftop and shouting the boot’s praises from it.
The kangaroo leather on the boot is very soft and thin enough to keep the boot from feeling bulky, but a layer of Quadfit and the Flyknit tunnel on the newest Tiempo keeps you from being able to completely enjoy the upper and get in the feel that we long to experience from a Legend. Long standing fans of the silo will still be pleased, but if you’re looking to switch from a speed boot like the Mercurial then it will take some getting used to.
