Ecco is the brainchild of businessman Karl Toosbuy, who, from an early age, was trained in the shoe manufacturing industry. He slowly earned his way to become the manager of a shoe company in Denmark, but he never gave up on his ambition of having his own footwear brand. In 1963 he realized this dream in small steps, relocating his family to the Danish countryside in a little town called Bredebro.
