Fit & sizing

The Ecco Soft 8 Summer Tie has a leather upper that offers a sturdy feel. It comes in women’s 4/4.5-11/11.5 US sizes in medium width. It fits true to size, but several purchases have found that it has a narrow toe box. Wide-footed users will have to take note that they may need to go a size up. A lace-up closure helps in adjusting the fit, while the low collar allows unhindered ankle mobility.

Ecco Soft 8 Summer Tie Style

A summery vibe is offered by the color schemes of the low-top Ecco Soft 8 Summer Tie. It comes in Alusilver, Volluto, and White colorways, all of which provide a bright outlook for the warm days. Any casual outfit will go well these kicks, such as shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses, and t-shirts. A pair of these shoes will also come in handy for dressing up or down due to its simple yet sophisticated appeal.

A simple Scandinavian aesthetic is featured on the Ecco Soft 8 Summer Tie, which also has a cupsole for added durability. It’s made with rich full-grain leather that is perforated for a ventilated feel, along with a lightweight structure and a premium design. The lining is also made up of full-grain leather for added comfort, while the leather insole is removable to accommodate extra width.

Ecco Soft 8 Summer Tie History

In 1963, Karl Toosbuy launched his own footwear brand named Ecco. He had been trained early in life in the shoemaking business, eventually becoming the manager of a Copenhagen shoe factory when he was in his 30s. Despite the stability of his position, his dream of having his own brand never left him, so he moved his wife and young daughter to the rural Danish countryside. There, he employed a small team to work in a small factory, finally able to make his own shoes.

The hours were long, and the lessons were learned by trial and error, with Karl and his wife, Birte, spearheading each effort. Success finally came in the 1970s when the brand released the Joke model, and the company slowly built a reputation for innovation and quality. In the years to come, Ecco designed more revolutionary models, earning a spot in the world’s most trusted names for casual and sports footwear.

Among the many notable models from the brand is the Ecco Soft 8 Summer Tie, the seasonal update to the classic Soft 8 model. True to its name, the updated shoe incorporates a summer-ready feature: a perforated upper that offers breathability for the foot. With its elegant style and timeless appeal, this sneaker is for women everywhere who want a versatile pair of kicks for their everyday activities.
